Research On The Street Vitality Of The Central Business District In Kunming’s Old Town Based On Spatial Syntax

With the continuous development of information-based cities,exploring urban phenomena and urban problems through spatiotemporal data analysis has become an important direction for the development of urban planning disciplines."Data thinking" will enhance our ability to solve urban problems,scientific research,and rational planning.In addition,spa tial syntax,as a rapidly developing urban space research theory,has shown great potential in spatial quantitative research.This thesis selects the historical Kunming old town central business district as the research object.With the help of spatio-temporal data and spatial syntax models,a coupling relationship is established on the basis of the quantification of spatial vitality and spatial organization,a nd explores the street vitality and spatial organization within the scope of research.The current status of the connection provides strategic ideas for the coordinated development of vitality and space.Firstly,This thesis use the Baidu heat map data in the research area to realize the thermal power of the street space.With the help of data analysis software,the correlation analysis is carried out,and the street space vitality evaluation system within the research scope is constructed based on the basic elements of traffic accessibility,space openness,function density,and function mixing degree,so as to realize the quantification of street space vitality.Then,the correlation analysis between the distribution of street space quantified value and th e distribution of each spatial syntax parameter is carried out,and it is identified that only the spatial integration degree is closely related to the vitality distribution.Then,it interprets the coupling status of spatial integration and spatial vitality distribution,and digs out the street space that is inconsistent with spatial vitality and organizational development in the street network and its formation reasons.Finally,targeted optimization suggestions are put forward for these street spaces.The results of the coupling analysis show that the street spaces that are inconsistent with the development of spatial vitality and structural development within the scope of the study are mainly divided into two categories.Street spaces with high integrati on but insufficient vitality are mainly distributed in the commercial street network,such as Nanping Street,Huguo Road;street spaces with high vitality but insufficient integration are mainly distributed in the residential street network,such as Wacang West Road and Xi’an Road...
