A Historical Study On The Development Of Ancient Landscape Architecture In Hohhot

In recent years,with the rapid development of landscape architecture,how to find the root and essence of landscape architecture design becomes more and more important under the environment of perfect and systematic direction of landscape architecture planning and design.From ancient times to the present,human beings have always been eager to get close to and love nature,and how to enjoy life better by talking with nature under the premise of satisfying basic production and living,these all have the close relation with the landscape architecture specialty.The Chinese Garden has done a lot of research over the years,covering many different areas of expertise.However,geographically,the study of the landscape architecture in northwest China is relatively inadequate,including the vast area of Inner Mongolia and the integration of diverse cultures,its capital city Hohhot(meaning "Cyan city")is also a national historic and cultural city.The Hohhot,with its grasslands to the south,the Yellow River to the south and Yin Mountains to the north,has been a stronghold and an important transportation hub in the north since ancient times,from ancient times to the present,it is the frontier area where nomadic civilization and farming civilization meet,collide and merge.From its region history,nature,economy,humanities and so on all had the scenery garden development condition,this area traditional scenery garden also will certainly have its unique content and the characteristic.The research is to sort out and analyze the ancient landscape architecture of Hohhot,trace back to the source,and find the regional landscape context.On the time axis from ancient times to the present,according to the historical age and the law of the development of landscape architecture,there are seven periods altogether,and the different characteristics of landscape architecture in each period are preliminarily obtained,they are as follows: “ Before the Western Zhou Dynasty,people lived by mountains and rivers;in the Spring and autumn and warring states periods,when cities were built,thought and culture blended together;in the Qin and Han dynasties,cities developed and were built with the help of shapes and forms;in the Wei,Jin and southern and northern dynasties,the capital of the three kingdoms was built with a palace garden and the Imperial Yin Mountain was covered with Frost;in the Sui and Tang dynasties,animal husbandry and fanaticism developed,in the song,Liao,Jin and yuan dynasties,the planning was reasonable and the city and countryside were highly developed.”Through the study of the development history of the ancient seven periods and the characteristics and types of landscape architecture in this area,looking for the representative idea and mode of harmonious coexistence between human and nature in the historical process of human productive activities,exploring how human beings create a better living environment step by step,and exploring the historical law therein,after the analysis summarizes and draws the conclusion,provides the corresponding guiding ideology for the posterity.To enrich the historical research content of regional landscape architecture,so as to grasp the development direction of landscape architecture more accurately and search for the truth of landscape architecture.
