With the increase of the aging in our country,the prevalence of chronic diseases in the new elderly is increasing year by year.Among them,knee osteoarthritis is a frequently-occurring disease in the elderly,which affects their physical and mental health.Since the early diagnosis and treatment of knee osteoarthritis can effectively reduce the pain,prevention and intervention measures from the initial stage are beneficial to improve the life of the elderly with knee osteoarthritis.At present,wearable technology has received widespread attention in the field of health care.Smart wearable technology can effectively promote the treatment and rehabilitation of knee osteoarthritis.However,the design of smart wearable products for the new elderly is rare.Therefore,based on the theory and method of empathic design,this thesis chooses the new elderly suffering from knee osteoarthritis as the research object,and conducts the research on the design of smart wearable products.In the theoretical research part,this thesis gives the summarize of the concepts and methods of empathic design,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of empathic design methods.According to the specific needs of different design stages,empathic design methods is used in each design stage,and the idea of empathic design method in different design stages is proposed.Combining the characteristics of new elderly and smart wearable products,selects appropriate empathic design methods,and builds an empathic design process for the new elderly smart wearables,that is to say,through empathy with the new elderly,the explicit and implicit needs of the new elderly users can be acquired and transformed into the design elements of smart wearable products,propose design schemes and implement product prototypes,and finally conduct scheme evaluation.In the design practice part,based on the process of empathic design,the research of smart wearable products design for the new elderly is carried out,that is to say,the characteristics of life,behavior and emotion of the group are refined by empathizing with the new elderly suffering from knee osteoarthritis,and are transformed into three design elements of function,interaction and emotion,and the prototype design of smart wearable is completed based on the performance of wearable technology.Through the situational performance and prototype experience of empathic design method,the usability of the design plan is verified,and the design promoting factor are analyzed.By building the process of empathic design of smart wearables for new elderly smart wearables,this thesis studies the needs of the new elderly suffering from knee osteoarthritis for smart wearables,and conducts research on the design and evaluation of smart wearable products,providing the reference for the research of smart wearable products design for the new elderly.This thesis has 46 pictures,13 tables,and 106 references.
