As a flexible structure,reinforced soil retaining walls are widely used in highways,bridges,water transportation,and slopes due to their good dynamic performance.However,pseudo-static method is adopted under most of the current dynamic researchs of reinforced soil retaining walls.Pseudo-static method focus on the maximum value of dynamic response and ignore the dynamic response of reinforced soil retaining wall,which has adverse effect on studying the dynamic response and failure mechanism of reinforced soil.Therefore,it is necessary to research on the dynamic response of reinforced soil retaining walls and further analyze its dynamic evolution process by adopting the pseudo-dynamic method from several aspects.This paper mainly researches the dynamic time-history response and regular distribution of reinforced soil retaining walls from four perspectives: dynamic acceleration,reinforcement tension,soil pressure,and retaining wall displacement.Finally,dynamic evolution process is analyzed through results of the displacement of the retaining wall.This textual method is suitable for the seismic dynamic analysis of most reinforced soil retaining walls.It provides not only a basis for the study of the dynamic response of reinforced soil retaining walls,but also a reference for the study of its failure mechanism and failure mode.Furthermore,it offers a certain reference for dynamic design and stability analysis of reinforced soil retaining wall.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)Acceleration variations of reinforced earth retaining wall are obtained based on mechanical wave propagation theory,and then the tensile force of the reinforcement and the soil pressure are calculated on the basis of acceleration variation.Finally,maximum value of the displacement of the retaining wall is calculated using the theory of the tensile force,the dynamic soil pressure theory and the partition calculation theory.The theory of acceleration,reinforcement tension,soil pressure and retaining wall displacement are compared and verified with shaking table test results.The dynamic time history responses of reinforced soil retaining wall are analyzed,which provides certainty basis and reference for the dynamic design of reinforced soil retaining wall.(2)A series of shaking table tests are carried out to study the distribution law of acceleration,reinforcement tension,soil pressure and displacement of the retaining wall at the same time under different dynamic accelerations.By outputting the test values at different times,the internal and external changes of the reinforced soil retaining wall are analyzed,and the foundation is laid for the study of the dynamic evolution process of the reinforced soil retaining wall.(3)The ABAQUS numerical simulation software is employed to establish the analysis and calculation model of the reinforced soil retaining wall under earthquake,whose calculation parameters are given according to the physical property test.Numerical calculation results are verified through comparing with test results.Meanwhile,by means of the output of displacement cloud images,the dynamic evolution process and failure mechanism of reinforced soil retaining walls under earthquake are explored,and certain guidances are provided for the engineering application of reinforced soil retaining walls.
