Study On The Architectural Decoration Art Of Tibetan Buddhist Temple Halls In Ordos Region

Buddhism was founded in India in the 6th century BC,and then spread eastward to Tibet,opening the door for communication between the two places.Tibetan Buddhism did not receive much attention when it was first introduced to Mongolia.It developed rapidly under the vigorous promotion of orthodox Great Khan in the middle and late 16 th century and replaced Shamanism as the mainstream sect.Later,with the support,utilization and encouragement of the Qing court in the mid-17 th century,Tibetan Buddhism reached its peak in the Ming and Qing dynasties.As one of the cradles where Tibetan Buddhism was introduced to Mongolia for the second time,the development of Tibetan Buddhism in Ordos has been in the mode of slow penetration and has witnessed the ups and downs and development of Tibetan Buddhism culture in Mongolia.As the main place of Tibetan Buddhism activities,temple architecture is of self-evident importance.The temple culture has also become an important part of the traditional culture in Ordos area,and its architectural decoration has historical,social,cultural and other values.In this paper,the author studies on ordos area the Tibetan buddhist temple hall,due to the geographical location adjacent to the shaanxi,shanxi and gansu provinces,make its have strong close of han,characteristics of temple architecture is also different from other parts of the temple of Inner Mongolia,and the current for Tibetan Buddhism architectural research in Inner Mongolia ordos region is less,more focus on the architecture,history,It is of great significance for the study of Mongolian Tibetan Buddhism culture and architectural decoration to strengthen the study of Tibetan Buddhism temple and temple buildings in Ordos area.This paper will comb the architectural decoration of Tibetan Buddhist temples in Ordos area from the aspects of roofs,beams,columns,doors and Windows through the literature review method,comparative analysis method,induction and summary method,and field research of nearly 70 temples.From the Angle of the design,combined with multiple subjects such as history,architecture,sociology,ethnology,the ordos region of the history of Tibetan Buddhism architecture form,construction status and form factors,summarized its site selection,space layout,architecture characteristics,compared to three types of temple architecture decoration research,interpretation of the decorative arts the cultural connotation,This paper expounds the decorative art features of Tibetan Buddhism buildings in this region,and discusses the application and inheritance and protection of decorative art elements in this region.
