Modern General Hospital Space Guidance System Design Research

With the improvement of medical level and people’s living standard,medical building has higher requirements for medical environment,convenience of use and scientific management under the premise of paying attention to function.At home and abroad,the research on medical building process has made a lot of achievements.When designing material,vehicle and people flow lines,hospital buildings will be carried out according to medical technology.However,as a public building with complex functions and huge volume,it is still a great challenge to fully and clearly present the design intention in the hospital space.The design and research of space-oriented system in modern general hospital is to solve this problem.There are many methods in architectural space design,such as form,volume,color,lighting,material,soft decoration,etc.,which can indicate the function of indoor and outdoor space,and enable users to estimate the function of their own area through experience,it also has the function of indicating direction and moving line.In a general hospital,patients will first identify and judge the features of the space,and then judge the route and position.Under the condition that the design of the space-oriented system is relatively perfect,patients will rely less on complex text-based labels,and the process will be easier and smoother.Large volume of public buildings are required to support the guidance system,in order to facilitate the use of buildings.The hospital is a more complex and special public place,in the allocation of guidance system,need to combine medical technology,need to consider the special physical conditions of hospital users,need to consider infection control,triage patients.During the new coronavirus outbreak that began during the Spring Festival in 2020,admission control in domestic hospitals was very strict.The most common way is to close the secondary entrance and set up a temporary building at the main entrance for pre-hospital inspection.This approach is in essence to guide and control the flow of hospital users,before the hospital began to the hospital users screening and diversion,is the beginning of the hospital guidance system.Although the current temporary building is relatively simple,but also formed now "the right entrance to the hospital," the public impression,can play the role of correct guidance to hospital users.The General Hospital,as a public building,is usually composed of outpatient department,medical technology department and Inpatient Department.As a public building,the General Hospital is also equipped with an important part such as the square in front of the hospital and the parking lot,summarize the sample,extract the existing survey data for guidance practices.Based on the collection of on-the-spot data from many general hospitals in China,combined with the results of the questionnaire and self-experience,this paper analyzes and compares the space of each part of the hospital,and sums up the characteristics of various types of space forms in the hospital,focusing on the form of the public transportation among the medical technology units,this paper studies the connection and arrangement of this kind of space to the functional parts of the hospital,in order to explore the guiding function of the architectural space form in the hospital,to form a set of relatively complete space guidance system.It is expected to play a certain reference value for hospital design.
