With the continuous development of social economy and power electronic devices,more and more non resistive loads appear in the distribution network,which has a great challenge to the safe and reliable operation of the power system,so reactive power compensation becomes more and more important in the power system.Compared with the traditional compensation device,the Static Var Generator has the advantages of fast compensation speed,stable compensation and reliable operation,which has become the mainstream of the current var compensation device.But in the large capacity system,the single Static Var Generator is limited by the key components manufacturing process and economic benefits and other factors,and there are often insufficient compensation problems.For better application in engineering practice,systematically studies the parallel compensation mode of Static Var Generator and the comprehensive parallel solution(Engineering)application of the combination of passive filter compensation device and Static Var Generator.Firstly,the basic principle,structure and working mode of the Static Var Generator are analyzed,and the theoretical value of compensation capacity through mathematical calculation is obtained in this thesis.Then from the point of view of satisfying the real-time detection of reactive current,the current detection method used in the parallel solution of Static Var Generator is analyzed,and finally the IP IQ current detection algorithm is selected.In order to further analyze the effect of Static Var Generator parallel solution,a 10 KV,± 5mvar Static Var Generator parallel solution model is built in MATLAB.The U-I characteristics and output loss characteristics of the system are simulated.The simulation results show that the Static Var Generator parallel solution runs smoothly and has good reactive power regulation effect.In order to verify the practical effect of the Static Var Generator parallel solution in this thesis,Zhenjiang distribution network is chosen as an example to compare the actual operation indexes of the grid before and after the application of the Static Var Generator parallel solution.The results show that the distribution network is stable after reactive compensation,the voltage is stable after compensation,and the power quality is significantly improved,which is of great significance for the further promotion of the Static Var Generator in the distribution network.
