| As one of the most important content in project management theory,project progress control largely determines the success or failure of the project.There are many factors influencing the progress management of international engineering projects,and the political,economic,cultural,and technical standards are quite different from those in China.Many domestic companies follow the national "One Belt One Road" initiative,bravely go abroad and embrace the world,but the results are not ideal.In recent years,uncertainties in the international situation have soared,national credit has been tightened,and the operating conditions of various construction companies have been worrying,and the construction period has been delayed repeatedly,resulting in repeated reductions in project profits and even losses.This article intends to use the theoretical research of project progress management,combined with the practical experience of DMP project in Djibouti,to deeply analyze the problems of project progress management,find the causes of the problems,and formulate targeted countermeasures.In the past,project preparation progress mostly used software such as excel,project,etc.,which was limited to the preparation of static stand-alone progress plans,and could not achieve dynamic management and multi-project resource balance management.P6 progress management software is supported by PMBOK theoretical knowledge.It can not only dynamically manage a single project,but also realize multi-project resource balance and collaborative management through the database side.It is currently the most advanced international project management software.This project uses P6 progress management software to dynamically manage a single project,and uses the principle of PDCA cycle to improve progress management.In view of the characteristics and challenges of project schedule management,this article starts from the actual situation and takes effective measures such as: using the most advanced P6 schedule management software in the world,compiling the project schedule,strictly implementing it,dynamically updating,finding deviations,and correcting deviations in time;A series of measures,such as organizational measures,management measures,economic measures,technical measures,contract measures,etc.,will gradually enhance the overall progress management awareness of the project and gradually reverse the lagging situation of the project progress.Our country’s international contracting companies have already possessed high strength and prestige,and are able to undertake the design and construction tasks of major projects in various regions and types around the world.Many multinational companies have set the "Overseas Priority Development Strategy" as their basic strategy.The multi-faceted differences exist objectively and will continue to exist.From the perspective of cost reduction and efficiency enhancement,this paper proposes two future research directions of project group schedule management and preliminary planning,hoping to help overseas project management. |
