Study On Landscape Design Strategy Of Pocket Park In Urban Settlement

Pocket park is a "new" form of urban park that gradually formed with the development of the city.As a small-scale park that exists in urban neighborhoods,its existence in the city dates back at least to the Greek period.The reason why we call it "new" and bear the new name of "pocket park" is that,with the continuous changes in the form and content of modern urban life,such parks are constantly given new functions and significance.In the past design practice,most of them paid attention to the differences between pocket parks and general city parks,such as small size,small radius services,targeted service targets,and site adaptability.They were mostly only used as isolated objects related to their service radius..In the continuous incremental development of the city,a large number of debris plots have been generated due to changes in land functions,land consolidation,and infrastructure construction.These debris plots are mostly scattered in urban areas.On the one hand,individual characteristics are applicable to "Pocket Park",meanwhile,the quantity and distribution of these "fragmented spaces" provide a new possibility for the optimization and renewal of the functions of the Pocket Park and the enhancement of value.The proposition of this article is to use this as an entry point to explore from the overall system of the pocket park’s systematic design.The number of fragmented spaces in the urban residential space is optimized and transformed to interact and complement each other to form a systematic pocket park landscape space.A large number of small individual pocket parks with characteristic structural relationships form a systematic cyberspace structure.The overall structure can form a complementary relationship with the large comprehensive park.Based on the urban settlements,this article clarifies the research purpose and significance of the systematic landscape design of the pocket park from the perspective of systematic design.Combing the development status and systematic related concepts of pocket parks at home and abroad,based on previous research,the theoretical interpretation of the relevant definition scope and construction opportunities of pocket parks is analyzed,and the functions of pocket park construction are analyzed from the perspective of systematic landscape design.Discover the basic guiding theories related to urban catalysts,collage cities and urban public life.In this paper,the feasibility study of the systematic design of pocket parks in urban settlements is made by citing relevant typical cases from four levels of urban function,ecology,social life,and culture.The pocket park and debris space in Hongqiao District of Tianjin City were selected for the current investigation and problem analysis.Based on the research,analysis,induction and summary of the above content,the guiding principles and design strategies applicable to the systematic landscape of Hongqiao District of Tianjin City were discussed..Based on the quantitative and qualitative research of the first four parts,the three representative fragments of Honghu East Road in Hongqiao District are selected to carry out the design update and function optimization of the pocket park,and carry out systematic landscape design from four levels In order to realize the coupling of urban function,ecological environment,humane care and history and culture in the design of pocket park system in urban settlements,the design principles and strategies are verified to be feasible.
