Research On Winter Visual Aesthetic Character And Preference Of Waterfront Plant Community Of Urban Parks In Wuhan

Plant is one of the important landscape elements of waterfront area.The plant community changes with the times,enriching the landscape of waterfront area.At present,the research on seasonal changes of plant community mostly focus on the four seasons,spring or autumn.In practice,plantscape is mainly focuses on the green quantity in winter,and the research on visual aesthetics of plant community is insufficient.Taking the waterfront plant community of Wuhan urban parks as the research object,this study explored the visual aesthetic character of plant community in winter,analyzed visual aesthetic preferences,and summarized the optimization strategies,in order to provide ideas for improving the winter visual aesthetic quality of waterfront plant communities.In this study,25 waterfront plant communities were selected from the urban parks of Wuhan.The plant community consists of three waterfront types: lake,pond and stream.Firstly,record the individual and group characters of the community,including plant species,quantity,crown width,diameter at breast height,structure and the appearance of the community.Secondly,analyze the color composition of the community through Matlab software.The form and texture of plants community were analyzed by graphical analysis method.Then,the visual aesthetic preferences of experts and the public are compared and analyzed.Finally,the strategies to improve the winter visual aesthetic quality of the plant community are proposed.The research results show that(1)the floating aquatic plants appeared less in winter,while the emergent aquatic plants appeared more in the three habitats.The plant composition of communities is similar in lake and pond habitats,but different from stream habitats.(2)The color of winter plant community is mainly orange-yellow,followed by green.The green composition of plant communities in stream habitats is significantly more than that of plant communities in lake and pond habitats.(3)The visual aesthetic preferences of experts and the public are consistent.However,from the perspective of experts,more attention is paid to the form aesthetics and order of the plant communities,while from the perspective of public,more attention is paid to the proportion of green in the plant community and the color aesthetics of the communities.
