With the process of urbanization,the contradiction between the growing demand for high-quality transport services and the inadequacy of supply is increasingly prominent,people begin to measure the quality of life from the economic leap to well-being.Therefore,it is necessary and prospective to introduce happiness theory into the field of transportation.The student groups in the suburbs of the city are characterized by limited cost of living,high density of residence,long distance from the city and strong demand for travel.This paper studies from the perspective of public transportation,focusing on the travel experience of this group.The aim is to properly plan the public transportation lines of the suburban university town properly,improve connectivity with the main urban area,strengthen the extension and supplement to rail transit,and provide theoretical support for decision makers to improve residents’ traveling happiness.Firstly,a travel happiness scale and questionnaire are designed and a sample survey is conducted among students from 20 colleges in the local university town,from which the 412 data about indicators of traveling happiness including cognitive judgments and emotional reactions,as well as the index set of influencing factors including personal basic attributes,travel attributes,public transport service level and external environment attributes are collected.On the basis of verifying the validity of the scale items,a descriptive statistical analysis of the survey data is made with the help of SPSS software.Then,the Bayesian structural equation model is used to establish mathematical relationships among the various influencing factors,cognitive judgments,emotional reactions,and well-being during traveling.In this stage,on the one hand,the specific quantification of well-being in the travel stage is carried out and at the same time,the influence weights of various factors on the happiness in the travel stage of college students are acquired and get the specific quantitative relationship between the variables,which provides the basis for the following paper.Next,a network planning method based on maximizing happiness in travel stage is proposed.A dual-objective planning model is established which means the quantified value of happiness in the travel phase is largest from the perspective of passengers and the line repeat coefficient is the lowest from the perspective of operators.Carry out functional stratification of public transportation network in suburban university towns,and set their own constraints for different functional network;determine the network solution algorithm to be the ant colony algorithm,and determine the parameters based on the actual situation.Finally,the above-mentioned network planning method is empirically demonstrated.The University Town of Chang ’an District of Xi ’an is selected as the research area,and the basic database needed for traffic planning is collected and established.Then,the effective data obtained from the traffic survey is imported into the GIS platform,and the starting and ending sets of the lines are determined based on the spatial analysis.The database is called in Matlab,and the ant colony algorithm is used to acquire the network scheme.Finally,the traffic planning from colleges to the main urban area,from colleges to the nearest subway station,and from colleges to the large transportation hub is determined,which verifies the effectiveness of the network planning method.
