| The closed and stable social relationship structure in Shenzhen’s countryside has changed because of the rapid development of China’s urbanization process.Maintaining the original social network relationship and balancing the cultural needs and interests of the local aborigines and the foreign population ha ve become vital issues that Shenzhen’s urban development and community governance ha s to face.In some urban villages of Shenzhen,the village collectives tried to improve the ritual space centered on the ancestral hall and organize various cultural activities,to promote the integration of grassroots social networks and create a harmonious community environment.In view of this phenomenon,this research explored the typical design features of ritual space and the current social relationship structure from the evolution and development of ritual space in Shenzhen’s urban villages.It took Xiasha village as a research case,and Huang’s ancestral hall,Cultural square and KKONE,the origin of ritual activities,as the research objects.One hundred and eight individuals who have participated in at least three ritual space activities(Pot banquet or Dragon-lion dance activities)were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey.The social network analysis method was used to analyze the network density,centrality,and structural hole of the current ritual space social network from the dimensions of the overall structure,individual cognition,and relationship,and to demonstrate whether the ritual space centered on the ancestral hall had a social integration effect.Then,through the questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews,the preferences,demands,and suggestions of these one hundred and eight individuals on Xiasha ritual space were collected.Combining the needs and suggestions of relevant social groups,the author designed a new style of ritual space to meet the needs,and further optimized the design through user testing.Meanwhile,through data analysis,the author discovered and visualized the areas where ritual space can be popularized and applied.This research found that the ritual space in Shenzhen has always been centered on ancestral halls or temples,and it is expanded by cultural squares now.The current ritual space’s main social relations include aborigines,village collectives,migrants,developers,and the government.By studying the relationship among five social groups in Xiasha,to a certain extent,it was proved that ritual space can promote the interaction between people,the connection between people and organizations,and the network integration between organizations,which can provide reference opinions for promoting the construction of the grassroots autonomous system.At the same time,the new style of ritual space designed with vr panoramic roaming technology can meet the needs of contemporary groups for ritual space,and by looking for the location of Shenzhen ancestral halls,natural villages,and communities,the design of potential ritual space map of Shenzhen has reference value for the second round of urban renewal in Shenzhen. |
