In view of the impact of urbanization, the coordinated development of transit-oriented land use and multi-modal transportation systems has become one of the core issues in the current research on the integration of land planning and transportation planning. The development of motorization and the construction of smart cities have led to more and more personalized travel,multi-mode transportation systems and integrated transportation are hot research objects for current and future development. The transit-oriented land use development is highly developed, and it is more concentrated along the rail transit and construction land. However, construction land resources are limited, and road traffic facilities cannot be developed according to traffic needs. Therefore, how to coordinate the development of transit-oriented land use and multimodal transportation systems is particularly important.Studying the coupling mechanism of transit-oriented land use and multi-mode transportation system has very important guidance and practical significance. The writing route of this article is from line to surface, from micro to macro and from local to global.First,at the micro level, the article takes Xi’an Rail Transit Line 1 as an example:(1)The second chapter studies the impact of multi-modal transportation systems on the expansion of the transportation corridors formed along the rail lines, and determines the travel range of the transit-oriented multi-modal transportation system based on multi-source travel data, and compares the connecting and non-connecting areas of various modes of transportation.(2)Chapter 3 analyzes the elements of land use and multi-modal transportation within the expanded transportation corridor, and also constructs indicators to evaluate the travel characteristics of the transit-oriented land use and multi-modal transportation system and the quantitative relationship between the two.Second,at the macro level, the construction land in Xi’an is used as the transit-oriented land use,and the interactive evolution model of the transit-oriented land use and the multi-modal transportation system is constructed:(1)Based on the complex and multi-element characteristics of system dynamics,Chapter 4 establishes the causal relationship and system flow diagrams of the transit-oriented land use and multi-modal transportation system,as well as the structural equations between the elements.(2)Based on the Vensim software,Chapter 5 realizes parameter calibration and validity verification, analyzes the simulation results and establishes the correlation between the transit-oriented land use and the multi-mode transportation system. In addition, from the view of government regulation and control, the number restriction policy, taxi policy, transportation investment policy, and land policy are added to compare the development trends and impact changes of land use and multimode transportation systems. The results may serve as a theoretical guide and model methods for the coupling mechanism of transit-oriented land use and multi-modal transportation systems:(1)Based on multi-source data,it is possible to determine the range of transit-oriented land use affected by multi-modal traffic.(2)Based on the established index system,it is useful to comprehend the concepts and evaluate the key characteristics of Transit-Oriented Development(TOD).(3)The coupling model and related relationships provide a direct quantitative basis for government land planning and transportation planning,as well as technical support for TOD.
