In face of the severe problem on the shortage of energy sources and land, the dominant role of the urban mass transit system has been established in the future metropolitan transportation system in our country. With the rapid developing of the urban mass transit system in our country, more and more attention has been paid to the great influence brought by the urban mass transit system on the whole urban space. This dissertation reviews the evolution of the TOD theory, relationship between the urban mass transit system and the land-use at both home and abroad, and so on. Based on that, it mainly analyses the current land-use conditions along the rail-transit lines 1 in Shenzhen, and then analyses three different styles sites deeply. Finally, it summarizes the existing problems and the causes of them; and then gives some advices about pattern of land-use and site-planning.Being on the research results of TOD. Then, the dissertation focuses on the influences on pattern of urban spatial, land-development, land-value, and three-dimensional space development brought by the urban mass transit system.Considering the familiarity and advantage of investigation, the No.1 Rail Transit Line of Shenzhen has been chosen as a case to study. Meanwhile, with careful investigation on the current conditions about three different styles sites, which are the type of urban station, the type of transit-hinge station and the type of residential station. Finally, it summarizes the existing problems and the causes of them.According to the basic principle of TOD, and the existing land-use modes of our country as well, some constructive suggestions have been made on the distribution of land, intensity of land development, adjustment of the public transport system and so on.
