China has a vast area,cold regions include a variety of climate types,the climate characteristics of different climate types are quite different.In order to make full use of the characteristics of different climate types,natural ventilation is used as far as possible in spring and autumn transition season and summer to reduce the energy consumption of air conditioning.Based on the National Thermal Comfort Survey data set,this paper studies the thermal comfort and thermal adaptation of human body in natural ventilation buildings with different climate types in cold regions.Xi’an,Jiaozuo and Dalian and Turpan are the representative cities of temperate continental monsoon climate,temperate maritime monsoon climate and temperate continental desert climate,the thermal neutral temperature and the acceptable temperature range were obtained for the above three climatic types.Combining the above research results with the thermal performance of the enclosure structure,the maximum acceptable surface temperature of the exterior wall of natural ventilation buildings in cold area is analyzed.The specific research contents and main conclusions are as follows:First,field test samples were obtained from the database of three typical cities in cold regions:Xi’an,Dalian,and Turpan under natural ventilation.The characteristics of outdoor climate,characteristic parameters of indoor thermal environment and residents’ subjective feeling of thermal environment were obtained and analyzed.It is found that the subjective and objective data in the sample are consistent with the description of the climate type to which each city belongs.Secondly,based on the evaluation model of human thermal sensation,the human thermal neutral temperatures in different seasons of residents in natural ventilation buildings with three climate types in cold area were obtained,and the human thermal adaptation model and acceptable temperature range were deduced.It is found that the inhabitants of temperate continental desert climate have higher thermal neutral and acceptable temperatures,and the inhabitants of temperate monsoon are less sensitive to the thermal environment.These phenomena are caused by different climatic characteristics,it reflects the thermal adaptability of human body to outdoor climate.Last,combining the research results of human thermal adaptation with the thermal parameters of building exterior wall,the maximum acceptable surface temperature of exterior wall for residents in cold area in summer was obtained.The results show that the maximum wall surface temperature required by other cities in cold region can’t meet the requirements of human thermal acceptability,except those cities in temperate monsoon,therefore,it is suggested to adjust down the maximum internal surface temperature of natural ventilation building wall in cold area.
