Study On The Design Strategy Of Elevating The External Space Vitality Of Exhibition Building

The exhibition building provides rich cultural services for the public and has a strong public character.With the development of The Times and the continuous expansion of urban public life,the external space of exhibition buildings should become an important area of urban communal life and one of the most dynamic places in the city,which has a greater impact on the shaping of urban vitality.During my postgraduate study,the author visited many exhibition buildings in China and found that there is a common phenomenon in such buildings--no one stays in the external space,which leads to vacant and wasted space and affects the vitality of the city.In view of this phenomenon,the author has consulted a large number of literature,and found that the research on the system of urban vitality lacks the special research on the reflection on the promotion of external space vitality of exhibition buildings.In order to deepen the research on relevant theories and provide some reference for future practical projects,the author puts forward the main problem of this research: how to enhance the vitality of the external space of exhibition buildings through design strategies.This paper focuses on the relationship between human activities and external space.Applying the relevant theoretical basis to the field research and questionnaire survey of exhibition building projects,the author found that in the design of the external space of exhibition building,there are a series of problems,such as the separation of public space from the city,the relatively single function,the lack of space attraction,and the neglect of the surrounding natural landscape.Through the analysis of the theoretical basis and research results,this paper sums up the relevant design train of thought,in view of the external space and city space multiplicities,outer space function,landscape,experiential and instructive,public facilities such as level,external space dynamic build strategy is brought forward in the exhibition,and different cases to support and supplement.Finally,this paper takes Jinan Contemporary Art Center as a case of exhibition architecture practice to analyze its construction strategy to enhance the vitality of external space.
