The Study Of The Vitality Of Residential External Space

With the development of the deepening commercialized in house and real estate, the residential district construction, as the closest part with people’s daily life in the urban construction, has made the remarkable effect in quantity and on the qualities. Many communities have beautiful environment, but lack of vitality they ought to have, so they are hard to meet people’s demands of sense of security, trust and emotion.Residential area object of this study is the residential district and residential clusters. Firstly, with the relevant theoretical research of residential vitality in-depth study of the concept, the performance characteristics, the internal structure of residential vitality. Secondly, with the diachronic and synchronic study of the development and type of Chinese residential, to find out the reason for the lacking of vitality:closed, auto, scene design, duplicate, only pay attention to digital and monotony. Thirdly, combine with several successful cases as examples, the optimization strategies are based on investigating and studying on elements of exterior space of residential area, by adopting method such as application observation, interview, and questionary, in order to understand fully the habitant’s demand of space for outdoor activity. Summed up the four major factors influencing the vitality of residential external space:natural factors, artificial material factors, urban factors and behavioral factors.In the conclusion and outlook section of the paper, the author put forward several methods to design residential outer space vitality:continuation of city, setting function, manufacture path, open places, fuzzy space and convenient facilities, which can give the existing residential area planning some theoretical significance and reference value.
