With the development of aerospace technology,space has gradually become a new platform for military struggles and technological demonstrations of various countries.Research on space technology is not only conducive to national security but also conducive to the advancement of human science and technology.Target tracking based on video satellites is an application that combines space payload and target tracking technology.This paper mainly studies the implementation of the target tracking task by carrying related filtering algorithms on FPGA.In response to the reliability challenge caused by the singleevent effect of FPGA in space,a method for generating FPGA radiation sensing circuit is proposed to lay the foundation for on-orbit protection.The main work and innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)The high resolution of satellite video is a huge challenge for real-time tracking.This article uses FPGA with stronger performance as the tracking device,and improved related filtering algorithm as the tracking algorithm,which can guarantee the tracking effect and real-time tracking.In this paper,a hardware tracking platform is built,and two types of videos of space targets and ground targets are used as input data to test the implementation of related filtering algorithms on FPGA.The three aspects of target size,signal bit width,and parallelism were studied,and a series of experimental data were obtained.After experimental testing,it is obtained that the FPGA with a clock of 100 MHz can track a 64*64size target.The tracking time is 46.6us,and the tracking accuracy is the same as that of the PC platform.(2)All kinds of radiation in space have caused serious impact on FPGA,and adopting targeted protection methods is the guarantee for the correct operation of FPGA.This paper proposes a circuit generation method for FPGA reliability evaluation,which is used to efficiently detect the irradiation status.Explain the method from the theoretical basis and realization method.Finally,the feasibility of the method is verified through experiments.
