Research On The Application Of Traditional Bark Paper Craft In Creative Daily Necessities

With the further development of China’s industrial design and manufacturing industry,new development requirements are also put forward for China’s creative product industry.Based on material carriers,the design of cultural and creative products achieves national identity with the help of distinctive traditional ethnic culture.It is a new approach that aims to meet demand and therefore drive innovation of traditional industries.Among creative products,daily necessities are inextricably linked to the daily life of people.Nowadays,as consumer demand for creative products containing traditional culture gradually expands,it is especially important to combine the design of creative daily necessities with traditional culture.As a traditional Chinese handicraft,traditional bark paper craft is one of the best representatives of traditional Chinese culture.It has strong ethnic characteristics and demonstrates ethnic wisdom.Traditional bark paper in China not only has excellent physical characteristics but also contains rich humanistic spiritual connotations.It has realized the optimization and upgrading of materials with the support of modern technology,thus becoming a creative material that can meet the needs of modern consumption.However,although traditional bark paper is diverse with a long use history,it is still confronted with the dilemma of insufficient innovation in paper products and a narrow sales scope.Based on the above thinking,this research takes the traditional bark paper craft as the research content to design creative daily necessities.On this basis,the thesis firstly analyzes the cultural value,artistic characteristics,and production process of traditional bark paper.Secondly,the thesis comprehensively analyzes domestic and international cases in combination with online and offline research.Under the background of the new era,the burgeoning economic growth has not made ethnic culture fade from the memory of contemporary consumers.Instead,consumers are willing to return to their original nature and show more tolerance and understanding of traditional products of Chinese characteristics.With their emotional and aesthetic advantages,traditional paper culture products precisely resonate with consumers.Thus,this thesis digs deeper into traditional bark paper,conducts Qualitative analysis of consumer consumption characteristics,arrives at the positioning of product design through an analysis of the survey,and obtains the new demand for daily necessities of the target group through comprehensive analysis.Finally,it is decided that the thesis will focus on the design of "home atmosphere lamps" for design practice.
