Japanese architects have been active in the world of architecture in recent years and have been repeatedly awarded the Pulitzer Prize. In the 21 st century, our country has become more and more a place for foreign architects to experiment. As an East Asian country with similar cultural genes to China,an analysis of Japanese architects can help provide new directions for the future development of architecture in China. It is obvious that it is broad to take "Japanese architects" as a whole as the research object of this paper. After analyzing the Pulitzer Prize winner SANAA and Toyo Ito,we found that there is a certain relationship between them. The three groups of architects,Toyo Ito,SANAA,and Junya Ishigami, were finally identified as the subjects of this study. The connection between them is the relationship between their mentorship and the common temperament in their works. On the one hand, they are analyzed from the perspective of "phenomenal transparency" because the transparent, ambiguous, and ambiguous quality of their architectural works coincides with the spatial quality described by "phenomenal transparency".On the other hand, the theory of "phenomenal transparency" was born in the context of the chaotic architectural theories of the time, which is similar to the architectural context we live in now,and we hope that it will become a criterion for our own judgment as a perspective. There are five chapters in this article, which are mainly divided into three parts:In the first part,a brief description of the background and significance of the study.Secondly,it defines the adopted research perspective and research object. After consulting the relevant literature, the relevant theoretical research at home and abroad was analyzed and summarized to explore the feasibility of the research. After determining the research perspective and research objects, the research methods and framework are sorted out.In the second chapter, the adopted research perspective "phenomenon transparency" is discussed in detail from its background to its spatial characteristics, trying to look at the problem from a "development" perspective. The first two chapters can be regarded as the theoretical interpretation part, the purpose is to clarify the ins and outs of it.The third chapter mainly discusses the research object of this article. It also looks for the context from its upstream, from "metabolism" to its decline to its impact. At the same time, try to find the relationship between "metabolism" and "phenomenon transparency".Finally, the feasibility of the study is finally determined in the relationship between the changes of "metabolism" and "phenomenon transparency".The fourth chapter is the embodiment of "phenomenal transparency" in "metabolism" transitional architectural works.Discuss the three groups of architects from the background to the works separately, and summarize their development context from it,once again reflecting this change of "vicissitude".These two chapters are part of case analysis, aiming to discover the connection between the two from the case.In the fifth chapter,I first briefly summarized some methods of creating "phenomenal transparency" space in "metabolism" change works.Later, these techniques were extended to a few selected contemporary Chinese architectures, trying to find the feasibility and application of "phenomenal transparency" in contemporary Chinese architecture through analysis. This chapter can be regarded as the method application part.In the concluding section of the paper, the research process is summarized and future research and integration with contemporary Chinese architecture is envisioned.
