Research Of The Intermedium Characteristics Of Urban Public Cultural Building

Architecture is regarded as a medium of information.In terms of spreading culture and shaping the city,urban public cultural building have always had irreplaceable advantages and values.With the help of contemporary information technology,the communication environment of urban public cultural building is more extensive,but there are also some problems,such as incomplete cognition of their media role and blind pursuit of popularity.Whether from the perspective of theory or practice,it is meaningful to systematically analyze the characteristics of urban public cultural building as medium.This paper takes the urban public cultural building as the research object.To constructs a cognitive framework of the intermedium characteristics,this study combined theoretical results of architecture and other disciplines with the historical practice of urban public cultural building.Through the research,this paper answers the following questions: Where does intermedium characteristics come from? How to understand intermedium characteristics? How does urban public cultural building express its intermedium characteristics? How to expand the related research? The full text is divided into five parts,which showing a progressive relationship.Firstly,this paper introduces the research background of the subject,defines the research object and content,analyzes the research status and finds the deficiency that can be improved.The second part finds the theoretical basis of architecture as media from Communication,Semiotics,Psychology and Architecture.At the same time,this paper traces the practice of public cultural building in eastern and western cities from the perspective of medium,and explains the concept of medium based on theory and practice.The third part interprets the intermedium characteristics of urban public cultural building.Based on the analysis of each link and element in the communication of urban public cultural building,it puts forward three cognitive dimensions of intermedium characteristics,and discusses the factors that can influence the expression of intermedium characteristics.Next,it establishes the relationship between the three cognitive dimensions of intermedium characteristics and urban public cultural architecture design,and discusses how to show intermedium characteristics in the interface,form,function and place through specific cases.Finally,according to the full text,the paper puts forward the key points of how to express intermedium characteristics,summarizes the enlightenment of the research,and discusses the promotion significance of intermedium characteristics in other situation.This study expands the discussion on the intermedium characteristics of urban public cultural building,provides a new interpretation method for the existing architectural practice,and also provides a new perspective for urban public cultural architecture design in the future.Paying attention to the intermedium characteristics of urban public cultural building in an appropriate range and creating a benign environment for communication will promote the harmonious coexistence between architecture and people,which will also help to achieve the sustainable development of the city.
