| With the remarkable improvement of China’s New-Type Urbanization,buildings in old towns take on issues of aging spatial functions,low road traffic,severe degeneration of business forms,disordered building forms,and damaged historical features,which deteriorate the old towns’ spacing living condition and environment ecology.Thus,it is necessary to take action in protection and update.Commercial streets in the old towns,once the most dynamic political,economic,and cultural center of the city,are declining for facing the problems of ’limited space,aging form,poor traffic,chaotic environment,ecological decline,lost style and landscape alienation,’which mainly due to the change of urban functions,out of step with the improvement of modernization,the replacement of emerging business models,the combination of virtual and real Internet marketing methods,and the transformation of multiple roads superpositions.It is significant to settle the problems of enhancing the function of the old city commercial street,activating the impetus of business environment,injecting new vigor of commercial culture into the old town,better expression the urban spirit of’ better life,better production,and better ecology,’ and inheriting the local culture to lead a ’suitable place for living,business,and tourism.’Based on the research of old city renewal,this paper takes the old city commercial streets as the research object,and cuts into the content research from the old city renewal perspective.Firstly,it combs the evolution of theories,viewpoints and models of old city renewal at home and abroad under different era backgrounds,studies the status quo,problems and reasons of renewal design,and discusses the renewal models and design methods adopted by the commercial streets of old cities in my country under the current era background.Secondly,facing the main problems of functions and business formats such as the regional "space,style,environment,business format" existing in the commercial streets of the old city,from the "macro-block space texture,meso-level street interface morphology,and micro-architectural environment atmosphere," As well as the spatial level of the element system such as the distribution of business in the streets and lanes,try to solve the design problems of "renewal of stylization,reorganization of visualization,innovative routines,and homogeneity of business forms" that have appeared in the renewal of commercial streets in old cities in the past.Combining with domestic and foreign excellent "Commercial Street Renewal Design" cases to do comparative research and model and method analysis.Third,the regional culture of the commercial block is integrated into the renewal category of the commercial street,so that it forms the core design concept of "functional reorganization,space reshaping,and vitality restart",thus proposing the "integrity of the regional old city commercial street" The power activation methods and paths of "renewal model","systematic design strategy" and "factorial implementation approach" are expected to satisfy the sustainable and long-term development of the old city commercial streets after the renewal and transformation.Finally,this paper takes the project of “Luqiao Nanguan Xintiandi in Taizhou City,Zhejiang Province” as a case study,hoping to further explore and promote the renewal of commercial streets in old cities in terms of theory and design practice,and to provide reference for the similar renewal designs and practices of commercial streets in old cities in the future. |
