| Since the reform and opening up,my country’s economy has developed rapidly.However,with the continuous increase of the total economic volume,the income gap among Chinese residents has been continuously widening.Labor income accounts for most of the income of most members of society.China’s labor income share peaked in1995 and then began to show a downward trend.The popularity of road transportation infrastructure in my country is very high,and the public services it provides are the basis for the flow and conduct of various elements and direct production activities.On the one hand,the construction and improvement of highway transportation infrastructure can enhance the flow of factors and increase the income level of laborers;on the other hand,it can promote the development of various industries and promote economic growth.Therefore,this paper studies the labor income share from the perspective of highway transportation infrastructure.This article combs the domestic and foreign literature,and elaborates the mechanism of the impact of highway transportation infrastructure on labor income share.On this basis,it basically describes the change trend of my country’s road transportation infrastructure and labor income share from 2000 to 2017,and compares and analyzes the status quo of the eastern,central and western regions.After that,using panel data from 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions),after controlling the capital output ratio,technological progress and other influencing factors,empirical analysis was carried out,and the model was tested for robustness.Through empirical testing,the following conclusions are drawn: my country’s road transportation infrastructure has a significant negative impact on labor income share,but the effect is small.The related mechanism test results show that the reason why the road transportation infrastructure has led to the decline in labor income share is because:(1)road transportation infrastructure can promote the marketization process,enhance my country’s capital bargaining power,and(2)accelerate my country’s capital bargaining power.The upgrading of the industrial structure has promoted the development of my country’s industry towards capital-intensive development.(3)Increased labor productivity and labor income,but its rate of increase in labor productivity is faster than labor income.This article puts forward corresponding policy recommendations based on the research results: First,my country should optimize the road transportation infrastructure planning,reduce the differences between the three regions,and at the same time focus on the increase of labor income,continue to improve the social security system;second,the government should play an active role The role of guiding people,improving the redistribution system,improving the disadvantaged position of labor in the primary distribution of elements;finally,improving the labor market can protect labor’s right to speak to a certain extent,increase labor choice,reduce the cost of changing jobs,improving the bargaining power of laborers. |
