| The 19 th National Congress proposed to continuously meet the "people’s growing need for a better life",urban development begins to focus on quality improvement.Urban commercial centers are an important space carrier to practice the concept of "people’s city",highlight the charm of the city and carry high quality life.In recent years, the expansion of urban scale and the development of e-commerce have led to a trend of spatial and functional reconfiguration of the urban commercial centre system. At the same time, there are problems of homogenisation, imbalance in spatial layout and low quality within the commercial centre system, which affect the quality of life of residents and the commercial development of the city. Therefore,it is necessary to sort out the current characteristics and development trends of urban commercial centres to guide the preparation of relevant planning and urban management. The development of "big data" provides new paths and methods for the evaluation of commercial centres. In this context, this paper takes urban commercial centres as the research object and summarises and composes the relevant basic theories and research dynamics.Based on the existing research,it identifies the identification and classification methods of commercial centres, and constructs a spatial performance evaluation index system for urban commercial centres from two dimensions: the basic conditions of commercial centres and commercial hotness. In the empirical study, the central city of Suzhou is selected as the case study.Firstly, the commercial centres were identified and classified and graded based on the data from popular reviews, and the identification results were compared and analysed with the existing commercial network plans to assess the differences between the current development and the plans. On this basis, the spatial development performance of high-grade(municipal,submunicipal and regional)commercial centres was measured by comparing the evaluation results of two dimensions: basic conditions and commercial hotness. Finally, based on the results of the commercial centre identification and performance evaluation, targeted optimisation suggestions are made, with a view to providing reference for the preparation of relevant plans, the construction of urban commercial centres and the optimisation of traffic and mobility. The results of the study show that the current commercial centre system in the central city of Suzhou has a spatial pattern of "four main areas and four secondary areas",which, compared with the hierarchy of commercial network planning, shows a tendency of blurring and flattening the hierarchy;there is an imbalance between the layout of high-grade commercial centres and the actual population distribution, and there are blind spots in the peripheral areas of the city. There is an imbalance between the layout of high-grade commercial centres and the actual distribution of population, and there are blind service areas in the peripheral areas of the city;the homogenisation of commercial centres is obvious, and the development of new experience-based businesses is insufficient;among the 25 highgrade commercial centres, seven of them have not reached the expected basic conditions and are in a relatively inefficient state, and three of them have poor basic conditions and development, which need attention. In view of the above problems, the study concluded that the planning of commercial outlets and the development of commercial centres can be optimised in order to promote the cultivation and high-quality development of the urban commercial centre system. |
