In the course of the Times’ development,safety production is essential.As an industry with a long history,water conservancy plays an irreplaceable role in the process of social development,so the safe production of water conservancy is an eternal theme.All along,especially after the 18 th CPC National Congress,the Party Central Committee and the State Council have attached great importance to safety.General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly stressed the importance of safety production,and clearly put forward new ideas for water control in the new era,to provide fundamental compliance to comprehensively promote China’s safety production and safety management.However,there are still many problems in the water conservancy industry currently,as the safety supervision system is still inadequate.These problems have brought great challenges to the reform and development of water conservancy.Therefore,we should face up to the problems,analyze the reasons,scientifically explore the feasible measures suitable for the local water conservancy safety supervision,and comprehensively improve the safety supervision and management of water conservancy as soon as possible,which is the only way to achieve stable development for water conservancy reformation.Based on the research method of "Investigation and Research-Summing up the problems-Analyzing the reasons-Putting forward conservancy reform and development in the new era,analyzes the current safety shortcomings of water conservancy industry in Xiangtan City,explores the measures to strengthen the supervision of river
