China’s high-speed rail is in a high-speed during the process of growth and development,and the total mileage of that gets the first place in the world currently.And there are lots of the high-speed rail lines in Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration,which covers many cities.The operation mileage is more than 10000 kilometers,forming a "1-3 hours" high-speed rail transportation network in the region.It has lots of advantages.The high-speed rail changes the ways of travelling,and reduces the time which they need to spend in the train.In the process of freight transport,it can not only help reduce the money,but also can increase the efficiency.Furthermore,it promotes to separate freight from the process of transport,and upgrades the industrial structure.In the process of development of industry,it can increase the spatial connection between different regions,and increase the economic connection between regions through technological innovation and industrial agglomeration and diffusion.Besides,the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure is vital for the economy,which is considered to be an important prerequisite for maintaining high-quality development of economy.It accelerates the development of urban agglomerations and brings new chances for the economy.There is regional heterogeneity in China’s economic development.The Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is the most developed and intensive region in China.Consequently,it is crucial to investigate the impact of high-speed rail on the upgrading of industrial structure in the area.The paper uses the data of high-speed rail and a difference in difference model to investigate the impacts of industrial structure advancement and industrial structure rationalization.And the influence of it is positive.In addition,this paper analyzes the impact of high-speed rail on industrial structure optimization year by year.There is a growth cycle heterogeneity in the influence of high-speed rail on the upgrading of industrial structure.Due to the siphon effect in cities with long opening time of high-speed rail,a large number of production resources in cities with short opening time flow to cities with long opening time.The promotion effect of high-speed rail on the “mature type”cities is more significant than the“growth type”cities.About the study of the impact of large-scale cities,it is found that due to the better economic foundation of this type of cities,high-speed rail leads to the increase of trade,promotes the flow of elements,strengthens the spillover of technological innovation,and accelerates the development of related industries.Therefore,high-speed rail has a positive impact on the industrial structure advancement of large-scale cities.What’s more,this paper puts forward some suggestions from the perspectives of reasonable allocation of high-speed rail economic resources,making industrial development policies according to local conditions,actively connecting small and medium-sized cities into the high-speed rail network and improving the supporting construction of transportation infrastructure.
