With the widespread application of modern science and technology,complex engineering activities have emerged,engineering structural defects and even catastrophic engineering accidents have occurred from time to time,and related engineering technicians and their behaviors have been questioned by professional ethics and engineering ethics.In this context,the new era engineers not only need to meet higher standards in engineering technology,but also have higher requirements in terms of professional quality capabilities.As an important position of engineering education,colleges and universities shoulder the important task of training future engineers for the country,strengthening engineering ethics education,and focusing on training future engineers ’engineering ethics awareness and craftsman spirit.This is the practical need for the continuous and in-depth development of engineering education reform.However,there are still a series of problems in the development of engineering ethics education for college students in China.This paper initiated questionnaire survey on engineering ethics education to some engineering colleges and construction enterprises in Fujian province,interviewed university teachers,fully understood the current status of engineering ethics education,summarized and analyzed the problems existing in engineering ethics education,and put forward the implementation path of engineering ethics education.It can be used as a reference for the study of engineering ethics education for college students in China.The first chapter of the paper is introduction,introducing the research background,research significance and the current research situation at home and abroad;The second chapter of the paper is an overview of engineering ethics education,introduces the concept and connotation of engineering ethics and its education,and proves the necessity of engineering ethics education for college students.The third chapter analyzes the questionnaire and interview results of engineering ethics education,and reveals the basic situation of engineering ethics education;The fourth chapter of the paper,based on the questionnaire and interview results,points out that engineering ethics education awareness is weak,the environmental system is incomplete,and the teaching staff is insufficient,and the reasons are analyzed.The fifth chapter of the paper puts forward the implementation path of engineering ethics education.Firstly,we should guarantee the quality of education and perfect the engineering ethics education system.Secondly,it is necessary to change the educational orientation,improve the value rationality of engineering ethics education,internalize the ethical values of engineering,and highlight the elements of engineering ethics;Thirdly,engineering ethics education workshop should be carried out to promote the interaction of engineering ethics teaching;Fourth,we should optimize the teaching system and deepen the practice of engineering ethics education;Fifth,we should return to the essence of engineering education,promote the coupling of engineering ethics education and craftsman spirit cultivation,and put forward the circular chain of engineering ethics education,craftsman spirit cultivation and engineering construction practice.
