| Today when technology is becoming more and more science-oriented although the status of accomplishment and craftsmanship in technology has gradually receded as the secondary importance, the accomplishment and craftsmanship should not be underestimated.In this paper, how the accomplishment and craftsmanship contribute in the development of technology has been dicussed by means of hackling the technical factors and its historical evolution, and anatomizing the typical case of the development of horology industry -the tradional high-tech industry which requires relatively high accomplishment and craftsmanship. The author has pointed out that however technology develops, if an enterprise wants to monopolize advantages in the fields of technology, it can not be without the support of implicit knowledge but behind the implicit knowledge In the historical hackling and on the basis of the affirmation that academia holds that the evolvement of technical factors goes through experience, entity and knowledge, respectively, the author found that accomplishment and craftsmanship work in every structure change of technical factors. Accomplishment and craftsmanship themselves promote the structure change of technical factors and the experience-qualitied accomplishment and craftsmanship operate. In terms of the present trend that neglects the accomplishment and craftsmanship, the paper, based on the case of the cultivation mode of special persons with ability in horology faculty, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), and on the examples of the cultivation of advanced special persons, has pointed out the limitation of widely despising the cultivation of accomplishment and craftsmanship and further discussed the reasonable approaches for special persons with ability in the engineering education, and how the implicit knowledge emphasized on accomplishment and craftsmanship pervades and spreads. The author believes that although there are no uniform modes for college engineering education, the relationship must be dealt well with between generalist education and specialized education, between basic theory and operation abilities, and between explaining in words and teaching by one's own examples in order to edify the college engineering education in our country. |
