Spatial Differentiation And Type Identification Of Rural Territorial Multi-functions In Xuzhou City

With the steady progress of urbanization and the rapid development of industrialization in China,the business and service industry in rural areas are developing rapidly thanks to the aggregation of urban population,economy and other factors,and the functions of rural territorial are gradually enriched.In the new stage of the transformation and development of China’s rural society,the multiple values of rural territorial functions are increasing.In this context,based on the empirical analysis of Xuzhou City,this study summarizes the overall characteristics of rural development,takes the town area as the evaluation unit,through the construction of the multi-functional evaluation index system of rural area,analyzes the spatial differentiation characteristics of rural regional functions,identifies the dominant function types of rural areas in Xuzhou City,and discusses the driving mechanism and development mode of rural multi-functional development.The main results are summed up as follows:(1)The spatial differentiation of rural territorial functions in Xuzhou is distinctive.The high value areas of agricultural production function are mainly distributed along Weishan Lake,Luoma Lake and the south of Suining.The high value areas of economic development function are mostly distributed in towns with better industrial and mining development and strong economic radiation.The high value areas of social security function are mainly concentrated around the urban area.The middle and high value areas of ecological service function are mainly distributed on the west bank of Weishan Lake and along the old Yellow River and in the low mountain and hilly areas.The towns with strong multi-functional development ability in Xuzhou are mainly distributed in Tongshan,Peixian,Jiawang,Pizhou and other counties and cities.(2)There are various types and combinations of rural territorial functions in Xuzhou.It includes seven types: “comprehensive development”,“dual function”,“agriculture production dominant”,“economic development dominant”,“social security dominant”,“ecological service dominant”,“balanced development”.There are 21 towns of comprehensive development type,35 towns of dual function type,accounting for58.3% of the study area,which shows that most towns in Xuzhou have the characteristics of realizing multiple functions and high level development.18 towns are dominated by agricultural production,4 towns by economic development,5 towns by social security and 2 towns by ecological service,which shows that 30.2% of rural territorial in Xuzhou have outstanding dominated functions.There are 11 towns of balanced development type,which shows that 11.5% of towns have a low level of balanced social and economic development.Different types of towns have different development orientation and direction.(3)The multi-functional development mechanism of rural territorial in Xuzhou mainly includes the support of resources,the driving force of industrial development and the force of policy guidance and regulation.On the basis of structural regulation and function optimization,according to different types of rural functions,six modes of Rural Revitalization are summarized.That is,three industrial integration promotion mode,agricultural industrialization driving mode,industrial platform agglomeration development mode,new urbanization leading mode,eco-tourism special development mode and rural multi-functional driving mode.
