The unsignalized crosswalk is the common pedestrian crossing facility in the city.There are traffic conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles as pedestrians crossing it.In order to reduce the traffic accidents at the crosswalk and ensure the personal safety of pedestrians,the traffic administration of The Ministry of Public Security deployed and carried out the centralized rectification of illegal behaviors of motor vehicles not giving way to pedestrians in2017,which not only improved the current traffic safety situation of pedestrian crossing,but also affected the operation efficiency of the road section to a certain extent.In view of the above problems,the following aspects had been studied in this paperFirstly,the unsignalized crosswalk on urban secondary trunk road and branch road had been taken as the research object.The traffic data of pedestrians and motor vehicles at the unsignalized crosswalk on urban road section under the background of motor vehicle drivers giving way to pedestrians had been investigated and analyzed,to clarify the pedestrian crossing characteristics and the operation characteristics of motor vehicles on road section.Secondly,on the basis of ensuring the safety of pedestrians crossing the road section,avoiding the dangerous situation that pedestrians choose to cross the motor vehicle flow at will due to the lack of crossing facilities,the maximum service radius of crosswalk at both ends of the road section in combination with the road section conditions had been calculated.Whether the road section needs to set unsignalized crosswalk had been discussed,and its specific setting location had been determined.Thirdly,on the premise of ensuring the safety of pedestrians crossing the road section,from the perspective of improving the traffic efficiency of motor vehicles,the impact of crosswalks under different setting conditions(pedestrian flow,motor vehicle flow and crosswalk width)on the traffic efficiency of motor vehicles had been analyzed emphatically,the Cellular Automata Model of pedestrians crossing the road section and the model of vehicles had been established according to the field measurement data.Based on the driver yield decision model established by applying binary Logistic regression method,the vehicle driver yield probability when the pedestrian not entering the crosswalk had been calculated.The simulation of the traffic flow at the unsignalized crosswalk had been completed by using matlab software,which reproduced the phenomenon that the motor vehicle giving way to the pedestrian at the crosswalk,so as to prepare for the classification of the traffic operation state of the road section under different setting conditions.Finally,a classification and evaluation system of road section traffic operation state with average travel speed and average delay time as evaluation indexes had been established.The traffic operation state of the combination of the different pedestrian and vehicle flow conditions as well as the different width of crosswalk had been simulated and outputed the corresponding results.The critical pedestrian and vehicle flow conditions in case of congestion had been screened,the function expression of critical conditions had been obtained by applying curve fitting method,and the setting conditions of unsignalized crosswalk on urban sections had been further clarified. |
