Pedestrian will be affected by others when crossing street. When confict with vehicles, considering security, pedestrians'motivation will be more complicate, and affect the motor vehicle speed seriously. We can use simulation to simulate the actual situation, and formulate the corresponding improvement measures according to the simulation results. So a simulation was built to describe the behavior of pedestrian crossing street at sections.We do the research on the cross-street behavior of pedestrians, established the simulation model of pedestrians crossing street on cellular automata and the simulation model of mutual interference between pedestrians and vehicles. The first model was made to describe the behavior of pedestrian crossing street without the interaction of vehicles. We add vehicle model to the second one which is used to simulate the behavior of pedestrian crossing street with the conflict of vehicles.We use these models to simulate pedestrians crossing behavior of different traffic conditions, and analysis the simulation data which the computer output. After the contrast of our models and the parameter of simulation-pedestrian to others, we found they are effective at simulating pedestrian cross-street behavior at sections.At last, we do the research on the application of simulation——the influences on vehicles by pedestrians crossing signal section illegal. And study on both of the traffic facilities of signal control and no signal control sections, then give out the weakness and the corresponding solutions.
