Healing Living Space Design For Autism Children

The number of autistic children has risen dramatically all across the world in recent years.With the advancement of medical technology and the implementation of distinctive social welfare,more and more Individuals and groups are becoming aware of the autistic kid population in China.However,so far,there has no efficacious medicine for autism and rehabilitation training is the only utile way to improve their health performance.Therefore,interior environment has been a crucial factor determining the effectiveness of medical treatment.The settings should support their unique learning abilities and be able to attract their attention.As a place for autistic children’s daily life,the status of the family environment has a non-negligible impact on the rehabilitation of people on the autism spectrum.This study explores the characteristics and needs of autistic children on physical,psychological,and behavioral aspects based on the analysis of a lot of studies and research.Furthermore,by analyzing the comprehensive and present cases,we can summarize and design a more reasonable space design scheme to help autistic families integrate rehabilitation training to reconcile space design scheme with daily life.In design,the scheme is focused on the control of the healing,safety and fun of the space.The scheme will be further designed from the four aspects which are function,material,color and light environment.It is believed that having a living environment which can satisfied daily life and training for autistic children will result in improving the quality of life and performance of rehabilitation for them.This present study calls for providing effective theoretical basis and design reference for the future study and appealing to the public to help disadvantaged group within their capacity.
