In the early 19 th century,piezoelectric effect and inverse piezoelectric effect were discovered by French scholars,thus opening a door to a new world for the application of ultrasonic technology.Ultrasonic technology gets increasingly mature through more than a century’s development.Along with the continuous progress in ultrasonic technology,ultrasonic generators are extensively used in industrial cleaning,welding,oil viscosity reduction,etc.demonstrating incomparable advantages compared with traditional ultrasonic instruments.Ultrasonic instrument mainly consists of two parts: ultrasonic generator and ultrasonic transducer.The former generates high-frequency high-voltage electrical signal,while the latter fulfills the energy conversion from electrical energy to mechanical energy.Different types of transducers are needed for different industrial productions.At present,most ultrasonic generators are incompatible with several transducers owing to the limitations in inverter circuit and high-frequency transformer design.To address this issue,this paper designs a frequency-adjustable ultrasonic generator which supports normal operation of most transducers by altering the matching network.In this paper,after analysis of the working principle of the ultrasonic generator,the analysis and design of the main circuit structure are performed based on the selection of power supply,the comparison,analysis and selection of inverter circuit and switch tube,and the design of high-frequency transformer.Where,single-ended flyback inverter circuit is selected for the inverter circuit,the MOSFET switch tube is selected for the switch tube,and the manganese-zinc oxide ferrite material is selected for the magnetic core.Next,the two traditional matching networks are comparatively analyzed.After taking factors such as resonance and filtering into consideration,the L-C type matching network supporting filtering and variable resistance is selected.Based on analysis on schematic diagram of matching network,theoretical data is provided for each element in each matching network.Then,MATLAB is used to simulate and analyze the above design scheme,calculate and record the waveform of the output current and voltage corresponding to each set of data at both ends of the transducer.Finally,through circuit plate making and construction,the ultrasonic generator is matched with different types of transducers.Then,record the image data and the transducer working state,and compare the derived data with the simulation data.It turns out that the results are basically consistent.Transducers of different sets display good and stable working states,making it possible to match transducers of different types.
