With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and communication technology,vehicles are becoming more and more intelligent and network connected.The intelligent connected vehicle(ICV)have become the strategic direction of the global automotive industry,and also will become the mainstream in the future.The acquisition and utilization of traffic information and vehicle communication are important components of intelligent transportation system,and have an important effect on the development of intelligent vehicles.Therefore,the research on the traffic information and communication on the ICV traffic flow has important theoretical significance and practical application value.This paper considers the influence of traffic information,vehicle-tovehicle communication and communication strategy on the traffic flow of intelligent vehicles,establishes local interaction rules between intelligent vehicles and the surrounding traffic environment.And new cellular automaton traffic flow models of ICV are proposed.Through numerical simulation,microscopic and macroscopic characteristics of traffic flow are researched,the mechanism of causing traffic congestion is analyzed,and the strategies for improving traffic smoothness also are discussed.The research results can provide the scientific theoretical basis and valuable reference for the road design and management.The main work of the thesis is as follows:(1)Based on the characteristics that intelligent vehicles can detect the surrounding environment information and exchange information each other,a two-lane cellular automaton traffic flow model of ICV with real-time velocity feedback mechanism is established.The effects of vehicle information feedback,communication range and communication failure on traffic flow are studied.The numerical simulation results show that when the ICV gives more consideration to the front traffic information,it will be more conducive to improving the system smoothness.The appropriate communication range can improve the system flow.Too large communication range can slightly reduce the system flow,but the stability of the system is improved.When the ICV has communication failure,the velocity fluctuation will be significant,the critical density value of the system changing from free flow phase to congestion phase will decrease,and the maximum flow will also decrease.The information failures of receiving and sending both have effect on traffic flow significantly in intermediate density,and the receiving failure have a greater effect.(2)Based on the vehicle-to-vehicle interconnection and the communication mode between vehicles and road information system,an ICV cellular automaton traffic flow model of the onramp is proposed.The influence of the ICV’s communication strategy between main road and ramp is studied.The numerical simulation results show that the ICV can effectively reduce the traffic congestion and improve the road capacity in the on-ramp system.When the vehicle generation probability of the main road is low,inappropriate communication strategies between main road and ramp will reduce the capacity.When the vehicle generation probability of the main road is high,the ICV’s communication between main road and ramp will be conducive to improve the smoothness of the system.If the ICV of the main road can get more traffic information of the adjacent lane than that of the ramp,it will be helpful to improve the ramp’s smoothness.(3)Considering that the road visibility,vehicle sensor and vehicle-to-vehicle communication will be greatly effected under adverse weather conditions,this paper establishes a cellular automata mixed traffic flow model in the intelligent connected environment.The effects of the visibility,communication failure and detection failure on the ICV traffic flow are mainly studied.The results show that by the increase of the occupancy rate of ICV,the system flow increases and the probability of traffic accident decreases under different visibilities.When the communication failure rate of ICV increases,the traffic accident probability of conventional vehicle increases,but the traffic accident probability of ICV doesn’t change much.In the poor visibility environment,the traffic accident probabilities of conventional vehicle and ICV are both increasing by the increase of detection failure rate,and the effect of detection failure is more obvious to the traffic flow than communication failure.
