Research On The Transformation Design Of Historical And Cultural Block Under The Background Of Cultural Identity ——A Case Study Of Dongsandaoxiang Historical And Cultural Block In Taiyuan City

With the development of urbanization,ancient and modern coexisted between the historical and cultural blocks and surrounding buildings in the city.It bears witness to the development of the city and its people,carries regional characteristics and various cultural relics,so its protection and development should be paid attention to.To this end,the state has issued a series of planning policies for the protection of historical and cultural blocks,requiring and suggesting that all localities make protection and renewal strategies based on the current situation of historical and cultural blocks and the characteristics of urban regional culture.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is chapter one and two.Mainly expounds the research review and theory of cultural identity,etc.Under the background of planning and transformation of historical and cultural blocks,based on the theory of cultural identity,this paper analyzes the crisis of cultural identity in historical and cultural blocks from the perspectives of sociology and environmental geography,and summarizes the factors affecting cultural identity in architectural space.The second part is chapter three.Based on the analysis and research of a large number of historical and cultural district reconstruction cases,it is concluded that the influencing factors of cultural identity are the material environment in the historical district and the non-material state generated by the material environment.At the same time,the reconstruction methods of historical and cultural blocks based on cultural identity are extracted.All of them aim to increase the group interaction between local residents and foreign tourists by improving the physical environment,and to increase their sense of belonging and cultural identity by remembering places.The third part is chapter four,concrete practice.The reconstruction method obtained from the analysis of the case is applied to the field of practice in this paper--Taiyuan Dongsandaoxiang historical and cultural Block to analyze and explore it.Find out the cultural identity crisis and its causes in dongsandaxiang historical and cultural block.Dongsandaxiang Historical and cultural Block is a place that carries the memory of taiyuan people from generation to generation.Although it has a large number of historic buildings under protection,there is a lack of cultural space on the site,resulting in the lack of cultural identity of the block for local residents and foreign tourists or visitors.Combined with the actual situation of the site,this paper adopts three different spatial scales of point,line and plane to carry out practical transformation on the summarized material influencing factors of cultural identity.Through the change of material environment,it can increase people’s "gathering behavior" in the block and generate social and cultural exchanges,create a sense of belonging and cultural identity,solve the crisis of cultural identity in the block,prevent the rupture of social structure,and achieve the purpose of steadily inheriting and protecting the block culture.
