| In recent years, the process of China’s population aging has been accelerating, and the city is also in the state of continuous construction. The number of the elderly population is increasing, and they need more activity venues. The per capita green space area in fast-growing cities is usually small, resulting in the imbalance between supply and demand.Building more pocket parks with high flexibility and small floor area can alleviate this problem to a great extent. The unique climate of cold cities limits the construction of urban green space. The physical and psychological conditions of the elderly are relatively special.More consideration should be given to the design of their activity venues. At present, there are some problems in the construction of urban pocket parks in cold areas, such as insufficient injury prevention, unsuitable facilities, low landscape appreciation and weak culture. There is a lack of analysis of the characteristics and needs of the elderly, and there is also a lack of aging design. The research on the landscape design of cold city pocket park from the perspective of aging is to put forward more aging appropriate design strategies and methods that can be applied to cold cities and meet the activity needs of the elderly through theoretical research and investigation.Firstly, this paper defines the research background, significance and purpose of urban pocket park in cold areas, and understands the physiological and psychological characteristics, activity rules and demand for activity places of the elderly. This paper studies the pocket park in cold cities at home and abroad, and then takes Shenyang as an example to analyze the general situation and existing problems of pocket park through field investigation.Using the questionnaire to understand the evaluation and needs of the elderly in cold areas for pocket parks, and analyze the reasons for the weak suitability of pocket parks in cold cities.Based on the analysis of research results and excellent case studies at home and abroad, three design principles are proposed: Winter suitability principle, sustainability principle and safety principle. In terms of space construction, there should be appropriate scale with the environment, concise and easy to remember space layout, flexible space boundary and public space elements to meet the needs of the elderly. From the four aspects of using sunshine, shielding cold wind, activating communication space and enhancing cultural characteristics,we can improve the outdoor activity experience of the elderly in winter, improve their sense of experience and enhance their willingness to go out on the basis of meeting the needs of the elderly. |
