| In recent years, with the deepening of population aging and the accelerating pace of urban expansion, the development of traditional urban parks has become increasingly unable to meet the growing demand for outdoor activities by the elderly.Pocket parks,as a new type of urban greening space form that has sparked a boom in construction in major cities in recent years, their spatial characteristics and service modes can play a significant role in alleviating the problem of insufficient outdoor activity space for middle-aged and elderly people in cities. However, due to the relatively late start of research on pocket parks in China,The immaturity of aging design research has led to the current rapid development of pocket parks, where some elderly people have a poor sense of experience, resulting in the loss of many elderly users. In order to solve the problem of insufficient outdoor activity space for the elderly and improve the service quality of Pocket Parks,in accordance with the recommendations for the aging development of Pocket Parks put forward in the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on Promoting the Construction of"Pocket Parks ",this article selects Wuhan Pocket Parks, which are currently undergoing transformation to high-quality development,as the research object,Using theoretical analysis combined with practical research, the following research work was conducted on the aging design strategy of pocket parks:(1)The paper first reviews the current research situation and design theory of pocket parks, then defines and summarizes the relevant concepts, characteristics, and classification methods of pocket parks, clarifies the concept and significance of aging design, and summarizes some commonly used design theories in aging design.(2)Starting from the perspective of the elderly, this paper analyzes the physiological, psychological, and behavioral characteristics of the elderly at different levels and from multiple perspectives, and based on these characteristics, obtains the travel needs, environmental adaptability needs, and social needs of the elderly when they go out, providing theoretical research support for the construction of aging design strategies for pocket parks in this article.(3)The thesis takes Wuhan Pocket Park as the research object for the aging design of Pocket Parks. It conducts a thorough investigation into the aging degree of Pocket Parks in Wuhan in the form of questionnaires, field visits, and interviews. It also conducts a multi-level key analysis of typical Pocket Parks, and then summarizes the results of the questionnaire investigation and field visits,The advantages and disadvantages of the current aging design of pocket parks in Wuhan were analyzed, providing practical research support for the construction of aging design strategies for pocket parks in this article. In the end,the paper summarizes the design principles that should be followed in the aging design of pocket parks through combining theory with practice, and specifically proposes aging appropriate construction strategies from the aspects of pocket park location, spatial division, environmental factors, and green space,in order to help solve the shortage of outdoor activity space for the elderly. |
