Study On Visual Morphology Of Zhengding Ancient Pagoda

As one of the important categories of traditional architecture,ancient pagodas are not only the holy land for people to burn incense and worship Buddha,but also a presentation of traditional aesthetics,carrying 5000 years of Chinese culture.As a classic of Chinese ancient pagodas,Zhengding ancient pagoda shows a rich artistic beauty and concentrates the artistic and cultural essence of the prosperous period of the ancient pagoda.With the purpose of studying the visual form of Zhengding ancient pagoda,this thesis deeply analyzes and excavates the artistic value and cultural connotation of Zhengding ancient pagoda through the research results of a large number of data and their own cognition and understanding of Zhengding ancient pagoda.This thesis mainly adopts the research methods of literature research,investigation and investigation,cross research,comparative analysis and so on to analyze and summarize the visual form of Zhengding ancient pagoda,and deeply explore the visual form of Zhengding ancient pagoda from the perspectives of macro and micro,whole and local,concrete and abstract.Firstly,it summarizes the development of Zhengding ancient pagodas.On the basis of combing and summarizing the development of Ancient pagodas in China,it discusses the historical evolution and architectural layout of Zhengding ancient pagodas as a whole.For positive definite after the pagoda（towers,the clear spirit,sumeru tower,dedicated to）the visual form of key analysis,on the whole of Kentucky,the tower,Da Cha three components analyzed one by one,from local to each component on the unique decorative component or carve design detailed analysis,and combined with a large number of graphic detail.Finally,the author discusses the commonness of the visual form of Zhengding ancient pagoda,and concludes that the visual form features include the unity of form and function,the orderly combination of elements,the expression of color and material,and the interleaving of light and shade.Finally,as a classic of tower architecture,Zhengding ancient pagoda deeply excavates its artistic value and cultural connotation.There must be a temple where there is a tower.The artistic meaning of the tower must be affected by the overall spatial layout of the temple where it is located.Therefore,the artistic value of Zhengding ancient tower cannot be separated from the spatial characteristics.The visual features of Zhengding ancient pagoda reflect the beauty of form.In addition,there is the interweaving of rationality and sensibility in the emotional characteristics.Accordingly,the artistic value of Zhengding ancient pagoda can be divided into four aspects: the beauty of space with rich levels,the beauty of form with harmonious rhythm,the beauty of reason with strict order,and the beauty of sensibility with natural artistic conception,which penetrate each other layer by layer.The cultural connotation of Zhengding ancient pagoda is analyzed from the perspective of ancient and modern integration,specifically divided into blessing culture and symbolic significance.On the one hand,it mainly reflects the blessing culture through various carved patterns in the tower,which belongs to a symbol culture with beautiful implication,carrying people’s understanding and pursuit of truth,goodness and beauty.On the other hand,the Zhengding ancient pagoda is regarded as a kind of symbolic meaning,which perfectly interprets the profound connotation of "beauty" despite its disability and "life" despite its antiquity.
