Research On Demand Analysis And Optimal Design Of Dormitory Enlargement Project In Private College A

With the development of economy and the popularization of higher education,higher education gradually steps from the elite education to mass education.The private college demonstrates the characteristics of low threshold and more inclusivity,which attracts more students.Owing to the rapid increasing number of students,the demand for dormitories increases,which makes the enlargement of the dormitory buildings even more important and necessary.The dormitory is one of the main places where students live,study and rest.It affects college students’ values、world outlook ＆views of life and cultivation of interpersonal relationship.With the development of society and differences of lifestyles,the original college dormitory cannot meet the requirements of students in modern times.Some deficiencies are gradually appearing,such as: the functionality of dormitory building space is single,the buildings space is crowded,and the living space is poor.In view of these problems,the focuses of this thesis are how to conduct a requirement analysis based on the residential satisfaction survey of student dormitories,how to combine the analysis results to optimize the design,and determine the dormitory enlargement scheme.This thesis,taking private university A for example,adopts literature reviews,questionnaires,interviews and field survey methods,to study student accommodation,and usage satisfaction of the student for the dormitory living space satisfaction and furniture.By cross analysis,it is concluded that students are dissatisfied with the space layout,learning space,communication space,storage space of the dormitory,as well as the combination form,size and function of the furniture.Using SPSS software and Internal consistency method to analyze the reliability and validity of items,it is shown that these results are good and questionnaire is valid.By using Analytic Hierarchy Process（AHP）based on questionnaire data,weights analysis of the satisfaction of dormitory living space and dormitory furniture is implemented to identify the key factors affecting student satisfaction,which include three main aspects: dormitory living space layout,learning space,safety and comfort of furniture.The improvement design schemes are also proposed.Finally,the evaluation standard of dormitory design is given.The linear programming model is developed which involves the multi-factor evaluation method.Combining multiple proportion marking method as well as evaluation index system,each evaluation index is scored.The scores of four design schemes are compared,the highest score of dormitory scheme D is 3.83.It is because that dormitory scheme D has higher comfort and safety.Thus,this approach provides a new idea for solving the enlargement problem of students’ dormitory.Moreover,EXECL is used to solve the linear programming model,in which,three factors that have a great impact on the cost of dormitory construction,such as floor,combined furniture and wall,are considered.Thus,the economic and non-economic factors are integrated to obtain the optimal combination.The conclusions of study provide strong theoretical contributions and practical significance for future planning and construction of college dormitory.
