In recent years,with the rapid development of my country’s social economy,my country’s transportation system has developed faster and larger in scale,resulting in a series of problems such as traffic congestion,traffic safety,and traffic pollution.In order to solve these problems,a large number of surveillance equipment has been put into use.The application of video surveillance systems in road traffic provides a technical basis for traffic safety management and congestion control,and also challenges video data processing and analysis technologies.In order to achieve high-performance video data processing,in recent years,researchers have combined the data processing in the surveillance system with the edge computing architecture.This paper aims to establish an urban road condition monitoring system based on edge computing by studying edge computing technology and existing traffic systems.The research content of this article mainly includes:(1)Through the research of edge computing and current intelligent transportation system,the demand analysis of the road condition monitoring system is given,and the system architecture of the road condition monitoring system is designed according to the needs of the system,including the physical architecture and the logical architecture,and analyzes The operating logic of the system is designed,and the main functions of the system are designed.(2)Design experiments and simulate the realization of a video-based real-time road condition intelligent analysis system on the edge server.The system architecture of the video analysis system and the video analysis processing architecture of the system are given,and the processing flow of traffic monitoring video is given.The video processing results are analyzed.(3)A preliminary exploration of how to deploy edge servers in edge computing applications is carried out.The K-means clustering algorithm is adopted,and a series of experiments are simulated to analyze the performance of K-means clustering algorithm in edge server deployment problems.And given the experimental results and analysis.The road condition monitoring system based on edge computing can reduce the data redundancy of the cloud center,reduce the data processing volume of the cloud center,and meet the low latency and high real-time requirements of the road condition monitoring system.It is of great significance to traffic safety management and congestion control.
