Heilongjiang Province is known as "Beidang" because of its large crop area and high yield.Maize is a very important food crop in Heilongjiang Province.After emergence,the seedlings often grow slowly due to low temperature weather.In severe cases,the seedlings may even die,seriously affecting the yield and quality of corn.Exogenous spraying of rare earth cerium(Ce)and salicylic acid(SA)has a positive effect on improving the plant’s stress resistance,which can alleviate the damage of corn due to adversity and promote the normal growth and development of crops.Therefore,it is of great significance to study and improve the a bility of corn to resist low temperature stress.In this study,the main cultivar Xianyu 696 of Heilongjiang Province was used as the test material,and the artificial climate box was used to simulate the low temperature environment.The temperature was set at 13℃ and 4℃ at night;15℃ and 6℃ at night.,6 days of low temperature stress treatment.Two days before the low temperature stress,spraying cerium chloride(Ce Cl3)at a concentration of 150,200,250 and 300 mg/L and SA at a concentration of 50 mg/L to treat maize seedlings,spraying an equal amount of distilled water as a blank control.Compare and analyze the effects of different concentrations of Ce Cl3 and SA on malondialdehyde,relative conductivity,relative water content,protective enzyme activity,root growth vitality and other physiological indexes of maize seedlings under low temperature stress,and then explore the advantages that can improve the resistance of maize seedlings Source reagents and concentration,with a view to providing a reference for improving the ability of Heilongjiang corn seedlings to resist low temperature stress.Research indicates:(1)Under different low temperature and low temperature days,treatment with different concentrations of Ce Cl3 and SA solutions can reduce relative conductivity and malondialdehyde content,reduce cell membrane permeability,slow down the damage of low temperature,ensure the balance of osmotic pressure,and the effect of SA treatment optimal.Ce Cl3 and SA with a concentration of 200 mg/L have similar effects on increasing the relative water content.(2)Under low temperature stress,the protection enzyme activity of different exogenous spraying treatments increased,and under the temperature conditions of 4 ℃ and 6℃,with the prolongation of low temperature,they showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing.best effect.(3)Under low temperature conditions,treatment with different concentrations of Ce Cl3 and SA solutions can increase the vitality of the root system and ensure that t he root system provides sufficient nutrients for the seedlings.Under low temperature cond itions of 4℃ and 6℃,with the prolongation of low temperature time,the root vitality showed a decreasing trend.Ce Cl3 with a concentration of 200 mg/L is the best for improving root vitality.In summary,SA treatment can improve the resistance of maize seedlings to low temperature stress more than Ce treatments with different concentrations.
