Effect Of Walnut Green Husk Extract And Walnut Husk Powder On The Production Performance And Egg Quality Of Laying Hens In Later Stage Of Eegg Production

The Purpose of this experiment was to study the effect of walnut green husk extract and walnut green husk powder on the performance of laying hens,and to provide theoretical basis for the application of walnut green skin extract in laying hens.TA total of 180 healthy hyland brown layers with similar body weight(2.00±0.10 kg),egg laying rates with 85%,and aged 66 weeks were selected and randomized into three groups.Each group with 15 replicates and 4 birds in each replicate.The control group was fed the basal diet.In the experimental group I,1%of the Plant Extract was added to the basal diet.In the experimental group II,1%of the plant raw meal was added to the basal diet.The pre-trial period was last 7 days and the experimental period was 30 days.The average egg weight of the experimental group I was higher than that of the control group and the experimental group II,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).In terms of egg production rate,the experimental group I and the experimental group II were higher than the control group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The feed intake/egg weight of the experimental group I was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no difference of the average daily feed intake among the three groups(P>0.05).Egg white height in the experimental group I was higher than that in the control group and the experimental group II,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).The haugh unit in the experimental I group and the experimental II group was higher than the control group,and the difference between the experimental group I and the control group was significant(P<0.05).The egg shell thickness and yolk color of the experimental group I and the group II were higher than that of the control group,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).As for the egg specific gravity,shape index,and yolk ratio,the differences among the groups were not significant(P>0.05).In summary,adding 1%walnut green husk extract and 1%walnut green husk powder in late laying period of Hailan brown shell laying hens has positive significance for laying performance and improving egg quality.Among them,walnut green husk extract can reduce feed-egg ratio,increase egg production rate and Haugh unit,walnut green husk powder can increase egg production and egg production rate.
