Since the reform and opening up,China’s rural economy has developed rapidly, agricultural output increased year after year, and the lives of farmers have become better and better. At the same time, the situation of rural resources and environment is getting worse and worse. The construction of ecological compensation mechanism is an important means to improve the quality of ecological environment and coordinate the contradiction between environmental protection and economic development.Understanding the influencing factors of the willingness of farmers to accept for agricultural ecological compensation provide a basis for the formulation and implementation of agricultural ecological compensation policies. This paper selected 101 farmers as the research object. The risk preference and the ambiguity preference of the farmers were included in the study to explore the influencing factors of the farmers’ willingness to accept for agricultural ecological compensation. This paper specifically studied the following aspects:(1)Based on Holt and Laury(2005)MPL(Multiple Price Sequence)experimental design to measure the farmers’ Risk preference,Based on Ellsberg(1961)two-color ball experimental design to measure the farmers’ ambiguity preference;(2)Using the method of protection auction to measure the famers’ Willingness to accept(WTA);(3)Compared the relationship between risk preference and ambiguity preference to farmers’ auction protection bids;(4)The risk preference and ambiguity preference of farmers are taken as independent variables, and the influencing factors of compensation amount of farmers’ agricultural ecological compensation are analyzed by OLS regression model. The research on the above contents leads to the following conclusions:(1)Farmers’ risk preference, ambiguity preference have a significant impact on their willingness to accept(WTA);(2)Farmers’ risk preferences and ambiguity preferences have different impacts on their WTA.Within the same preference coefficient range, the auction price of ambiguity preference farmers is higher than that of risk preference farmers auction bids, showing that farmers are more loath to the ambiguity they faced than the risks they faced when participating in agricultural ecological compensation.(3)Among the control variables, farmers’ educational level, planting income, agricultural income share, and environmental protection awareness have a significant impact on the amount of compensation that farmers participate in agricultural ecological compensation. However, the control variables of gender, age, family population, arable land area, and ecological environment assessment have no significant effect on the amount of farmer households participating in agricultural ecological compensation.Relevant policy inspirations are proposed for this:(1)Promoting the integration and development of the first industry, the second industry and the third industry in rural areas, provide more non-agricultural employment opportunities for local farmers, and broaden their income sources;(2)Strengthen the propaganda of rural environmental protection, increase farmers’ attention to environmental issues and enhance their awareness of environmental protection.(3)Vigorously develop rural education and improve the level of human capital of rural labor force;(4)When making the policy of agricultural ecological compensation, government should pay attention to the uncertainty preference of farmers, and distinguish the risk and ambiguity, reduce the worries of farmers after participating in the agricultural ecological compensation project, and improve their enthusiasm for participation. At the same time, government should make reasonable subsidy standard, and take the efficiency of fund utilization and the interests of farmers into account.
