| In order to ascertain the prevalence of parasitic diseases on a sheep farm in Chaoyang City, and propose scientific prevention and control measures,an epidemiological survey of parasites was carried out on the sheep farm from November 2018 to May 2020.The current situation of worm infection on the sheep farm was investigated by parasitological autopsy and fecal inspection method, and the prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii and Cryptosporidium was determined by indirect hemagglutination test and molecular biology method. The results showed that, six kinds of parasites,Haemonchus contortus,Fasciola hepatica,Trichostrongylus sp.,Monizia sp.,Toxoplasma gondii and Cryptosporidium sp.were detected on this farm. The most serious infection of parasite was Haemonchus contortus; The fecal egg count test showed that the parasitic infection rate of the farm was 86%(86/100),of which the infection rate of ewes within 6 months was 95%,when the infection rate of rams within 6 months was 70%;the infection of ewes over six months was 88%.while the infection of rams over six months was 80%.The infection rate of Toxoplasma gondii was 7.5%(9/120)detected by indirect hemagglutination test, and the infection rate of Cryptosporidium sp.was 7%(7/100)detected by molecular biology method. On the foundation, anthelmintics with main components of ivermectin, albendazole,or levamisole were used to deworm the the parasites. The egg reduction rates were 84.1%,65.4%,and 62.2%,respectively.40 days post deworming, the average weight gain of each group were 4kg,3.06kg and 2.9kg,respectively.Furthermore,the normal, one and a half or twice dose were administered, the egg reduction rates were 66.2%,72.5%and 93.1%for ivermectin, when albendazole were 43.5%,45.7%and 53.2%and levamisole were 50.4%,59.8%and 57.3%with the corresponding dose.Through the study,it was found that the sheep had been mainly infected by gastrointestinal parasites, and the current status of parasite infection and anthelmintics resistance to commonly used chemicals should also be paid attention to.In order to strengthen the parasite control on the sheep farm, comprehensive prevention and control measures should be adopted, such as strengthening the feeding and management of the sheep, good cleaning, rational grazing, and regular deworming with effective anthelmintics. |
