In order to understand the infective status of enteroparasites of scattered dogs in a townof Huxian, the direct smear method, saturated NaCl floating method and centrifugalprecipitation method were used to detect120fecal samples of scattered dogs in the area. Theresults showed that8canine intestinal parasites were found. They are Toxocara canis,Isospora sp., Ancylostoma caninum, Strongyloides stercoralis, Giardia canis, Trichuris sp.,Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus granulosus. The infection rates were65.83%,40.83%,35%,26.67%,9.17%,6.67%,2.50%,1.67%, respectively. The total infection rate was100%.In these infections in dogs, mixed infection of two kinds of intestinal parasites was44cases,mixed infection of more than three kinds of intestinal parasites was31cases, the rate ofmixed infection was62.5%. Toxocara canis, Isospora sp. and Ancylostoma caninum werepredominant species. The infection rate of canine intestinal parasites with canine ages wassignificant difference (P<0.01), but no significant difference (P>0.05) with sexes.
