Research On Farmers’ Adoption Behavior And Its Influencing Factors Of Green Control Technology

Coming into the new era,the concept of food consumption of residents has changed,gradually transforming from the past "subsistence" to the present "enjoy","eating more" to"eating well".Under this background,food safety has become an important political issue related to the national economy and people’s livelihood.However,compared with the food consumption demand,the food safety field has exposed many problems,including not only the additives in the processing process,but also the chemical pesticide residues at the source of agricultural production and so on.Data show that China’s chemical pesticide consumption per mu average is twice that of developed countries,but the average utilization rate is only 38.8%,15 to 20 percentage points lower than developed countries.It is an unavoidable task to improve the level of agricultural prevention and reduce pesticide residues to improve the quality of agricultural products and maintain food safety.Focusing On agricultural pest control problem,this study selected strawberry as variety of object and strawberry growers in jiangsu province as the research object.based on the theory of agricultural technology diffusion theory and the peasant household behavior,through on-the-spot investigation to collect relevant data,The team conducting empirical research on peasant households’ adoption behavior of repellanting technology and bio-pesticide technology of Green Prevention and Control Technology(Abbr.GCT)system.Through the analysis of the sales data of strawberry growers in the survey samples,it was found that the adopters of green prevention and control technology could have more choices in the sales channels,and could obtain better sales prices than the non-adopters in different sales modes,which also verified the view that GCT could bring about improved benefits.Through the description of the research samples,it is found that the current strawberry farmer population shows the characteristics of aging,low education level and conservative risk attitude.The scale of farmers is generally moderate,and most families rely on strawberry planting for their income.The degree of participation of strawberry cooperative and communication with agricultural technicians is generally not very high.In addition,from the perspective of strawberry market demand,farmers are satisfied with the price of strawberries last season,and more than 60%of farmers have obtained the supply and marketing channels of supermarkets and wholesale markets.The analysis of the status quo of the adoption shows the single technology adoption rates of repellant technology and bio-pesticide technology are only 39.77%and 53.41%respectively,and there is still much room for improvement.In addition,this paper analyzed the correlation between the four factors in the survey sample,including the basic characteristics of the household head,the characteristics of family operation,the social network of farmers and the market demand for strawberries,technology characteristics.also with the status quo of technology adoption,and preliminarily determined the change trend of the correlation between each factor and the technology adoption behavior.By using Logit model for empirical analysis and relying on Probit model for comparative test,it was found that risk reference,joining strawberry cooperative,enhancing communication with agricultural technicians,establishing supply and marketing relationship with wholesalers or supermarkets and perceived ease of use about technology,all significantly improved the adoption of repellant and bio-pesticide technologies.The number of family members on planting only promoted the repellant technology.In addition,age and satisfaction had negative effects on the adoption of bio-pesticide.Both significant and non-significant factors are explained in this paper.Finally,based on the empirical results,this paper puts forward four targeted policy Suggestions:respecting the objective reality of farmers,improving the special training mechanism,guiding the construction of cooperative organizations,and expanding the sales channels of farmers.
