Effect Of Yili Horse Supplementing Bamboo Leaf Extract On The Growth Performance And Fecal Microflora Of Foals

The purpose of this trial is to explore the supplementation of different levels of bamboo leaf extracts to the Yili horse mare,and to explore the correlation changes of the growth performance,fecal microflora,growth performance and fecal microflora of it’s suckling foals,and provide a theoretical basis for the application in production and method.The trial subjects are Yili horses and 24 foals.The mares are divided into control group,group I,group II,and group III,each with 6 horses.The supplementary feeding gradient of each group is 0 g/d,10 g/d.,20g/d and 30 g/d,the foals are grouped with the mares,Pre-feeding period is 14 d,the trial period is 60 days.The foal’s growth performance data was collected on the 0 d,15 d,30 d,45 d,and 60 d of the trial,and the foal feces samples were collected on the 0 d,30 d,and 60 d of the trial.The results showed that:The body weight gain of the foals group I and group II increased by 19.05% and 19.85%,respectively,compared with the control group.There was a significant difference(P<0.05),and the group III increased by 25.48%,with a very significant difference(P<0.01).The body length growth of group II was increased by 45.23% and 28.36% compared with the control group and group I,respectively,and there was a significant difference(P<0.05).The body length growth of group III was54.22% and 36.31% higher than the control group and group I,respectively.Very significant difference(P<0.01).The increase of bust circumference in group II was 22.60% higher than that of control group,there was a significant difference(P<0.05),and it was increased by 2.87% and 13.56% respectively compared with group I and group III.Growth in growth performance stage: The body weight of group III was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01),and the body weight of groups I and II was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).The body length of group II and group III was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Cumulative growth of growth performance: The weight of each trial group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01).The body length of group II and group III was significantly higher than control group and group I(P<0.01).The tube circumference of group I was significantly higher than group II and group III(P<0.01),and group II and group III were significantly higher than control group(P<0.05).The chest width of group II was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01),and it was significantly higher than group I(P<0.05).Diversity of fecal microflora: Observed-species in group I and group II were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01).Chao1 and ACE in group I and group II were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Shannon in group I was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05),and Shannon in group II was extremely significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01).The correlation between growth performance and fecal microflora: Observed_species was significantly positively correlated with body weight,body length,tube circumference,and chest width(P<0.05).Shannon was significantly positively correlated with chest circumference,tube circumference,and chest depth(P<0.05),and extremely significantly correlated with body weight,body length,and chest width(P<0.01).Proteobacteria was extremely negatively correlated with body weight,body height,body length,chest circumference,and tube circumference(P<0.01),and significantly negatively correlated with chest width(P<0.05).Conclusion: Based on the above results,it can be shown that under the conditions of this trial,supplementary feeding of bamboo leaf extract(1)to Yili mares can effectively promote the growth of body weight,body length,bust circumference and breast width of the young foal.It can speed up the growth and development of body weight,body length,bust circumference and bust width.(2)It can effectively increase the fecal flora diversity of its foal fecal microflora.(3)The higher the shannon diversity index of fecal microflora,the lower the abundance of Proteobacteria and the faster the growth of foals.
