Epidemiological Investigation On Gastrointestinal Parasites Of Goats In Jukou Town Of Nanping City

To relieve the pressure of environmental protection,more and more people are raising goats.Although alimentary tract parasites are not easy to cause acute death of goats,they are easy to cause stunted development of goats,which increases the cost of breeding and causes economic loss to farmers.In this experiment,481 jukou goats from 8 farms were randomly collected to investigate the infection of digestive tract parasites.Then we conducted deworming tests according to the survey results.Main methods: Mc Master counting method was used to calculate the infection intensity of gastrointestinal parasite eggs per sample.The detection rate of digestive tract parasites in each goat farm was calculated.The eggs in the samples were collected by floating in saturated brine,and the morphology of the eggs was observed and photographed by inverted microscope,and the species of the eggs were determined according to their morphology.Diclazuril were used to treat coccidial infection in the two goat farms of Huang and Wang.Fenbendazole were used to treat nematode infection in the goat farms of Weng.We can compare the detection rate and infection intensity before and after deworming.The test results: The highest detection rate of parasites was 88.71 %and the lowest was 50.68% in goat farms.The detection rate of coccidioides andnematodes in most goat farms was higher than that of tapeworms,and the average infection intensity of coccidioides in all sampled goat farms was the highest.The infection intensity of goats was similar to that of rams and ewes.The detection rate of mixed infection was 33.80% for goats aged over 12 months,26.40% for goats aged 6-12 months,and 23.40%for goats aged 0-6 months.The detection rate of coccidioides decreased from 59.68% to 4.84%,and the detection rate of nematode decreased from 73.33% to 3.33%,after deworming.Conclusions: 8 species of gastrointestinal parasites are found in Jukou town.The dominant species of Ju Kou is coccidia;The infection intensity of coccidioides、nematodes and tapeworms of Ju Kou goat had no relation with goat sex.The detection rate of coccidioides and tapeworm in Ju Kou goat was related to goat age.Diclazuril and albendazole were effective in dejecting coccidioides and nematodes respectively.
