Object:(1)The study to deeply investigate the structure of the reproductive organs of non-pregnant ewes and pregnant ewes,and to lay the foundation for the follow-up experiments to understand ultrasound images;(2)On the operation methods of sheep pregnancy and the operation requirements of different breeds,the techniques are not described in details because of the teaching materials and references.In order to establish a comprehensive method for conventional sheep pregnancy diagnosis,pregnancy diagnosis operations were performed in different large-scale sheep farms.(3)In order to establish a differential diagnosis methods for single pregnancy and multiple pregnancy,it is convenient for clinical practice.It can be applied to identify the quantity of fetuses and group rearing and management,in order to develop a certain foundation on reducing the incidence of obstetric diseases in late pregnant ewes and increasing milk production and lambing survival rate.(4)The effect of the technology of differential diagnosis in dividing fetus of pregnant ewes was verified,The results of ultrasonic diagnosis were compared with the actual lambing quantity in order to provide the basis for clinical application of this technique.Methods and results: From 2017 to 2019,we went to Shihezi beef and sheep slaughterhouse and Kalwan slaughterhouse to collect and observe the reproductive organs of ewes,sheep slaughtered after veterinary surgery also do this these observation.Ovaries of more than 40 different breeds and hybrid ewes were observed and dissected the uterus in the field and in the obstetric laboratory.The pregnant uterus,cotyledons,fetal membranes,umbilical cord,body appearance characteristics,and gender were observed and described in details.A common portable B-ultrasound instruments was used to perform clinical pregnancy diagnosis operations,involving8 sheep farms,4 sheep farmers,and a total of 7453 ewes.These sheeps were examined through rectal or abdomen pathway by using the different portable B-ultrasound instruments with Tringa-type of liner or sector transducers and HS-101 V portable B-ultrasound with linear probe,the operation steps,methods and Sonogram atlas of B-mode ultrasound pregnancy were established by operating repeatedly in practice.The portable B-ultrasound instruments was used to diagnose the early pregnancy of the ewes,and the differential diagnosis of single pregnancy and multiple pregnancy,these works was carried out at different times.The search summarized its diagnostic operation methods and established the corresponding ultrasound image atlas,which provides a scientific basis for breeding in hybrid mode with meat varieties as male parents and multi-fetal varieties as female parents,and provides a scientific basis for splitting breeding.Value.It is to study the coincidence rate of single lamb,multiple lambs and actual lambs in ultrasonic diagnosis.In large-scale sheep farms,special portable ultrasound equipment(BCF Ovi-Scan ultrasonic scanner)was used to diagnose for Hu sheep and small-tailed Han sheep ewes,162 pregnancy ewes were diagnosed to divide into singlet,twin,and multiple fetuses.The examination results were recorded in details,and the group management was performed.After the pregnancy rate,the actual lambing situation was compared with the diagnosis results,the diagnosis differential datas on coincidence between the number of fetuses of the sheep and the actual number of lambs was analyzed statistically.The accuracy and error rate of the diagnosis were analyzed.The results indicateded that the coincidence rates of the actual lambs for one,two,three and more than three lambs were 100% and 96.10%,respectively.And 63.15%;the error rates are 0%,3.90% and 36.84%,respectively.It will provide a reference for the promotion and application of this instrument and technology in sheep breeding production in the future.Conclusion: This study showed that the operating methods and procedures to establish the rectal and abdominal B-ultrasound sheep pregnancy diagnosis were refined,and initially established the pregnancy ultrasound atlas.The ultrasound diagnosis technology and method for identifying the number of fetuses could be applied to the groups management and improve the reproductive management level of large-scale sheep farms.
