| Qianhua Mutton Merino is a new breed of mutton sheep bred in Jilin Province in2018.Suffolk is a specialized and excellent mutton sheep breed introduced from Australia in 1998.Small Tail Han sheep is a local sheep breed introduced from Shandong Province in 1990 s and widely raised in Jilin Province.In order to evaluate and compare the metabolic ability and disease resistance of three widely used sheep breeds in Jilin Province,Qianhua meat Merino,Suffolk and Small Tail Han sheep were selected as the research objects in this study.The blood physiological and biochemical indexes and 11 innate immune indexes of three sheep breeds were determined and analyzed,The related research results on the differences of metabolic ability and disease resistance of three main push sheep breeds in Jilin Province were obtained,which provided a theoretical reference for the development of mutton sheep industry in Jilin Province.1.Comparison of blood physiological indexes among sheep breeds:The blood physiological indexes of Qianhua meat Merino,Suffolk and Small Tail Han sheep of the same age and sex determined by conventional method were compared and analyzed.It was found that the blood physiological indexes of the three sheep breeds were different.The blood physiological indexes of Qianhua meat Merino sheep,such as MID,GRAN,GRAN%,RBC,HCT,MCH,MCHC,PLT,PDW,PCT% of Qianhua Meat Merino were significantly higher than those of black headed Suffolk and Small Tail Han sheep(P < 0.05);the WBC of Small Tail Han sheep was the highest,followed by Qian Hua meat Merino,and black headed Suffolk was the lowest,with significant difference among coexisting breeds(P < 0.05);the blood content of LYM in Small Tail Han sheep was significantly higher than that of the other two breeds.The contents of MID,HGB and MCV in blood of blackhead Suffolk sheep were significantly higher than those of Qianhua meat Merino(P < 0.05),and the corresponding indexes of Small Tail Han sheep were significantly lower than those of Qianhua meat Merino(P < 0.05).However,there were no significant differences in RDW-SD,RDW-CV,MPV and P-LCR among the three varieties.(P >0.05).2.Comparison of blood biochemical indexes among sheep breeds:Through the comparative analysis of the blood biochemical indexes of Qianhua meat Merino,Suffolk and Small Tail Han sheep of the same age and sex determined by conventional method,it was found that the values of ALB,TP,TBIL,PHOS,GLU,CREA and GLOB were Qianhua meat Merino > black headed Suffolk > Small Tail Han sheep,and there were differences among breeds.Bun,CHOL,amyl,alt,ALK and other biochemical indexes were significantly different among different breeds(P< 0.05).Bun of Small Tail Han sheep was the highest,followed by Qianhua meat Merino and Suffolk was the lowest;Chol of Small Tail Han sheep was the highest,followed by black headed Suffolk and Qianhua meat Merino was the lowest;Amyl of Suffolk was the highest,followed by Qianhua meat Merino ALT was the highest in Qianhua meat Merino,followed by Small Tail Han sheep and Suffolk sheep;ALK was the highest in black headed Suffolk,followed by Qianhua meat Merino and Small Tail Han sheep.3.Comparison of innate immune indexes among sheep breeds:Through the analysis of Ig M,IFN-α,IFN-γ,IL-1,IL-2,IL-5,IL-6,IL-8,IL-10,IL-12 and MHC in peripheral blood of three sheep breeds of the same age and sex determined by ELISA kit,it was found that the content of Qianhua meat Merino sheep was significantly higher than that of the other two breeds(P < 0.01).There was no significant difference between Suffolk sheep and Small Tail Han sheep(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in the content of IFN-γ among the three varieties(P > 0.05).The results showed that the disease resistance of Qianhua meat Merino sheep was stronger than that of the other two breeds. |
